Samir Kelekar wrote (SK) appears interested in a 'debate'. Even though, I concede at the outset that Samir has won, I place my thoughts (interspersed herewith as JC. I am reminded that the summer months are times for unwarranted duels and aggravation. So, here goes .. .. SK [1] Do you have some strong reason to believe that the two Sapnas --- the one who has posted and the one who one finds via google are different ? JC 1: As a reasonable man, I realised that there could more than one Sapna Shahani in this world. That is why I asked the question. Now I KNOW for sure from her (I will NOT reveal the details (she has shared with me) to you or anyone else). = SK [2] If not, you are unnecessarily being paranoid. JC 2: And you, Sir, are being quite necessarily brilliant. = SK[3] In any case, why did you have to get into a full Ramayana on a query about the Inquisition ? JC 3: Not the Ramayana .only the MahaBharata and other like events in which 'more than a couple people' were killed = SK [4] Surely, if you dont have a strong reason --- especially after the clarification by Sapna --- you are purely being paranoid. JC 4: Surely, your brilliance has just demonstrated to you that you are even more brilliant now than ever before. == SK [5] Or is it your usual "kathakali" dance to wriggle out of giving straight answers to questions you have trouble handling ? JC 5: My "kathakali" dance is NO excuse for the alleged Goa Freedom Fighters from telling us WHY they had no plan for post-1961 Goa. You proclaimed (loudly) 5 years ago that you would find out and let us know - the next time you went down to Goa. Your answer is awaited. Instead, all I see is this Dekhi and Fugdi fusion dance that you do. Of course, you do not need to post a detailed answer IF this present chaos, corruption and filth was the actual master-plan of the alleged Freedom Fighters. While you think of the answers - I will post your standard 'retort' phrases - in advance i.e. Portuguese boot-licker, Come down to Goa and walk the talk, etc etc jc ps: Having been declared the winner (by me) - do you want to waste your precious time arguing (err debating) further with someone like me. I would say NO. Right?

Samir Kelekar asked: How does one prove that the above quoted lines were posted by Jose Colaco? Heck, how does one prove that a person by the name Jose Colaco even exists ? jc response: Certainly NOT by relying EXCLUSIVELY on what Google had to say - As Samir Kelekar seems to advise. That should explain WHY I asked the questions. Comprende senor? I certainly hope so - because even "watson" found it "elementary". jc

Re: [Goanet] Due diligence JC style
The usually very brilliant Sam Kelekar suggests that there was a facile way to do 'due diligence' i.e. Google For, he wrote the following: [Samir Kelekar] : Buf if indeed one needs to do due diligence, one could google "Sapna Shahani" and one would know if the person is fake or not. Dear Samirbab, may I suggest that making assumptions that someone did not do due diligence isn't a smart thing to do. Here are a couple of pointers: [1] How does one prove conclusively that the person writing anywhere as Sapna is actually named Sapna. [2] How does one prove conclusively that the person writing as Sapna Shahani on Google is actually the Sapna Shahani who can be googled And more importantly Samir bab (probably) overlooked Reference 1 (infra) in my previous post wrt Sapna Now, please vide Reference 2 (infra) If the Sapna who appeared on GoaNet is the same Sapna from Google ..tell me, Samirbab, that the Inquisition question was a mere query to seek knowledge or have an intellectual discussion based on Rough Guides. Thanks Samirbab . and may I suggest that Not all Goans are that naive. jc Reference [1] the difference between paranoia and due diligence: http://lists.goanet.org/pipermail/goanet-goanet.org/2009-June/178873.html jc wrote: Some of the topics they are known to concentrate are the following: 1. Inquistion 2. 3. 4. 5. The Da Vinci Code 6. I invite this person (Sapna Sahani) who has suddenly sprung up on GoaNet via the Post Graduate College for Rough Guides, to advise us of the following: a: b: c: Have you written/presented in public . on any of the above (1-6) topics ? d: have you (or anyone on your behalf) ever claimed to have answers to the Da Vinci Code? It is indeed highly entertaining seeing the drama unfold on a rather straight question about the Inquisition asked by Sapna. Really, today's big thing is acquisition not inquisition. If only, one sees the massive amounts stacked by various ministers irrespective of their religion. Buf if indeed one needs to do due diligence, one could google "Sapna Shahani" and one would know if the person is fake or not. regards, samir
