O MARIA completes 25 weeks (Silver Jubilee) At Inox multiplex, panjim Goa. It was first released on 19th December 2010. It’s a film by Rajendra Talak and music by Padmashshree Remo Frnandes. On 3rd June show, many artistes from the Film O MARIA were present including the leading Role Shernaz Patel, Sulabha Arya, , Meenacshi Martins, Aryan Khedekar, Kevin D'mello, John D'Silva etc Sadly, I could not catch them all on my camera inside the auditorium as the area (near screen) where they all lined up, was not properly lit. It was houseful show and everyone served with sweet ‘ladoos’ (my favourite). Congratulations to Rajendra Talak and his entire team. Everyone did their best – So real! So natural! A must watch by all Goans for it has a message too. I could'nt agree more regarding O Maria. Its the best Konkani film I've seen. The other wonderful Konkani film was Lakshmikant S. film 'The Man on the other side of the bridge'. Hope I got the title correct. Whoever has not seen O Maria, please do, its a must see. Ana Maria de Souza-Goswami

The movie opens with a soul-stirring song by outstanding singer-musician Remo Fernandes, whose musical score underpins this very Goan story and is the film’s core attraction. The film maker must be lauded for his impressive effort. The theme is the flavour of the month, in every sphere of the media; protesting the sale of land to outsiders who corrupt Goa’s youth with the lure of drugs and easy money which have destroyed Goa’s natural beauty and identity. The story-line though predictable, is livened up and given a very dramatic shot in the arm by the dialogue from Konkani activist Damodar Mauzo.
