i merely drew a parallel..i bnever said the UP bihari
guys were doing anything grossly illegal...did I?
i merely said that what they did was to the detriment
of the locals and they undercurt the competition

ofcourse i think selling a commodity without proper
license and taxes is illegal isnt it? i amassuming
that the fish vendors in the market pay sopo tax but
the bicycle wallahs dont

Was just wondering what is wrong, illegal or immoral in selling fish
on bicycles or by climbing up
the buildings and delivering the fish at doorsteps at a cheaper rate.

if memory serves me right exactly same thing happened
in mumbai too when bihari and up wallahs started
selling fish door to door in mumbai to the detriment
of traditional koli women who used to do the job
before..
the bhaiyyas undercut the competition by climbing up
the buildings and delivering the fish at doorsteps at
a cheaper rate

the ongoing friction between traditional fishsellers
and the bicycle riding aam aadmi helping vendors took
a violent turn with an assault on a CCP corporator..

if memory serves me right exactly same thing happened
in mumbai too when bihari and up wallahs started
selling fish door to door in mumbai to the detriment
of traditional koli women who used to do the job
before..
