Actually Alfred, India's constitution is truly secular and consists of
a mix of the best components of the American Constitution, the French
Civil Code and English political jurisprudence. There are also the
better elements of several advanced European constitutions and civil
laws.

I do not fault the Indian Constitution in any significant way, but if
you desire to call it attempted secular then the onus of proving
your statement falls on you.
