PILAR SCHOLAR REJECTS NatGeo 'gospel' claims: Vatican-based

SENIOR CITIZENS CHOIR formed in Panjim, to perform twice a
year at the Kala Academy, in classical, Western music, Goan
folk songs, Portuguese music, Italian Neopolitan song and
Arias from various operas including Hindi and Sanskrit
invocantations to god. Choir will sing for weddings,
funerals, musical evenings etc free of cost with regular

THE NRI GOA FACILITATION CENTRE which was constituted by the
(BJP Goa) government four years back has wound up its
activities, following the appointment of the State
Commissioner for NRIs. A notification has been issued to the
NRI Facilitation Centre to wind up its activities. Set up in
2002, its purpose was formulating, processing and
administering the services relating to Goa NRIs. It was based
at the EDC House in Panjim and had nine executive members
headed by Chandrakant Keni. There were five members in its
monitoring committee. Keni, when contacted, said the
activities of the Centre are at a standstill as he has not
received any directive from the Government about the Centre.
But he said he was expecting a directive any moment.

Goa needs a CEO. I had mentioned a few years back that Goa is
a beautiful place, and if you have a good CEO, he can make it
like you mentioned.... Now, Mr Babush Monserrate fits into
this calibre, which he proved with the Corporation of the
City of Panjim elections. He got a 2/3rd majority. I am sure
he will shape up the state of Goa. As you see, he has all the
tools to make Goa the finest state in India and a showpiece

DAISY'S FAVOURITES: Recipies from [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Fast and Easy Easter Turkey Dinner: 12 lb Turkey, 1 medium
onion, 1 medium carrot, 4 tablespoons rosemary, butter, 6
cups stock.

Stuff turkey with the onion, carrot, and rosemary.  Brush the
outside with the melted butter.  Place breast side down in a
roaster. Add the stock and place in a 500F oven.  Roast for 1
hour. Reduce heat to 450F and turn the turkey over. Roast for
about 1 more hour.
 
          Easter Carrot Cake: 2 cups all-purpose flour, 2
          teaspoons baking soda, 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon,
          1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil, 2
          cups white sugar, 4 eggs, 2 teaspoons vanilla
          extract, 1 cup chopped pecans, 3 (4 ounce) jars
          carrot baby food, 1/2 cup grated carrot, 1 cup
          flaked coconut.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and
flour a 10 inch Bundt pan. Sift together the flour, baking
soda, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat the oil and sugar until smooth. Beat in
the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Beat in the
flour mixture. Stir in chopped pecans, Baby food carrots,
grated carrots and coconut. Pour batter into prepared pan. 
Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a
toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out
clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a
wire rack and cool completely.
