Re: Downloads reset

2009-03-19 Thread massimiliano.brocchini

Hi Jason,

I'm porting the packages from i686 to i586 by myself.
I'd like to have downloads reset and then I'll ask for svn reset and
start using SVN to store my scripts.
I can't reset both downloads and svn at the same time because I need
to give users some time to prepare for the change.

Thanks,
Massimiliano

unforunately I have 498 files totalling 1508 MB.
Deprecating all of them would require some hours of clicking and would
waste almost 1.5GB of space. I would really prefer to have a member of
the google staff just rm my downloads.

  Thanks,

  Hi Massimiliano,

You can just label the old releases as deprecated.  They will not be
visible to users who see the default list view.  And, any user who
clicks to download will see a warning about the fact that the file has
  been deprecated.

To label a download deprecated, click on part of the row in the
download list other than the filename.  That takes you to the
downloads detail page for that download, and you can edit labels via
the form at the bottom of that page.

  Thanks,
  jason!

Those files are old versions of the packages I built and are useless
since I can't upload some files due to this bug:

I will upload newer versions of the packages as soon as the above
   mentioned bug gets fixed.
Those old files are creating confusion in some users.

   Thanks in advance,

Change the project name?

2009-03-19 Thread pymike

Hey, can someone move everything (especially the SVN repo) on

http://code.google.com/p/nesgamelib/
to
http://code.google.com/p/retrogamelib/

I registered retrogamelib so no one would steal it after they saw this
question. ;-)

Thanks lots,

You can *import* (svn import) into a repository at any time,
regardless of its revision.

But if you want to *sync* from another repository (svnsync) then yes,
you need a reset. Are you wanting to sync?
