I created about 5-6 GIT repositories today and was disallowed because

Re: Please delete my project vegetationsbeiwert from google-code

2011-10-18 Thread Lucas Bergman
What Google account that isn't deleted would you like to have control of the
project?

 Hello,
my name is Anne-K. Brüggenwirth. I was the owner of the project
vegetationsbeiwert. The project was created during my diploma thesis
at Karlruhe University. After I had finished my thesis I wanted to
delete the project. I deleted my account and assumed that hereby the
project will be deleted as well. Unfortunatly this was not the case.

Recently my former superviser contacted me and told me that my project
is still available at google-code and that there is some code that I
should not have committed. This code might be conflicting with the
 interlectual properties of the university.

To solve these issues I would like you either to delete the project
vegetationsbeiwert or to give me back the ownership of the project
that I can delete the problematic content by myself.

I want to apologize for any trouble.
Please let know what happens next or what I can do to solve the problems.

 Kindly,
 Anne

You still have plenty of project creations available, perhaps you were
creating them too quickly. Try again?

This is a very general question and I don't believe that you'll find any one
right answer to it. You'll find many different strategies depending on what
your ultimate goals are as well as your choice of version control system.
Good luck!

Project name not available when trying to re-register deleted project

2011-10-18 Thread Ernst Rolf
Hello

i just tried to register a project called kowalski but got an error
message saying that the name is already taken. i have a vague memory
of registering a test project with that name to see what the service
was like and then deleting the project.

this seems to be the same issue as
https://groups.google.com/group/google-code-hosting/browse_thread/thread/718ba19e052776fb.
if someone from the staff could undelete and transfer the project
kowalski to me that would be great.

cheers
/e

Are you following the instructions on
https://code.google.com/hosting/settings for setting up your .netrc file?
Can you show the line you added to your .netrc (without the password, of
course)?
