Re: Bug report: project activity broken
Any feedback at all from Google? Comments on Issue 24324 are disabled, and we're directed to this thread which has no responses from the developers. The Updates page was awesome. Part of my daily routine was sipping my morning coffee while doing a quick check for any new commits/issues. It baffles me how something so useful to so many people could removed on a whim. I don't know how things work at Google, but if I was thinking of removing a feature of my software, I would at least open a new issue with the proposed change (and justification), and gather some feedback *before* pulling the rug out from under my users. How hard is it to just put things back the way they were? I mean, this isn't a new feature request, it's something that was already working (and working well!), that was subsequently removed. Can't they Google guys just roll back their changes while they work on a better solution? Or do they not use a version control system? :P -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Project Hosting on Google Code group. In the meantime we are thinking about the hows, ifs and whats on bringing this back, but we have not made any decision yet on whether this is feasible. It really isn't as easy as some of you make it sound or I would totally make it happen :). On a more personal note, I'm going to figure out if we can post a proper post-mortem on this. Which will hopefully shed some more light on this situation. - Lennard [0] https://us.pycon.org/2012/schedule/presentation/315/ The Updates page was awesome. Re: Bug report: project activity broken
+100 This feature was highly valuable and missing it blinds the developers to updates to the wiki pages, or closed issues. The page was highly convenient and quick way to see what is going on with a project, and gauge how active a project really is ...etc. Please bring back this feature. - Oz On Feb 28, 5:25 pm, Dustin Carlino dabreegs...@gmail.com wrote: The Activity page under Project information is broken (The page you asked for does not exist.) for all projects I've checked (in particular, android --http://code.google.com/p/android/updates/list). XOT-Uzg google code page Attachment Storage exceeded.
Hi there, recently the attachment storage for our Google Code page has reached it's limit of 50 MB. None of my users can now report errors and post errorlogs :(. Is there any way I can get more storage? Is there a request form? I hope somebody can help me? Re: XOT-Uzg google code page Attachment Storage exceeded.
Hi Lennard, I misread your question. I do not have a public source code repository set up at this moment as this project hosts a Python project for XBMC, so the downloads contain all the source code. And we did not see any need for a SVN source control because of this. So the site was mainly used for user support and downloads of the Python scripts. There were a lot of downloads in the past, but XBMC moved to Addon repositories instead of downloads. And so most of the downloads moved to a XBMC repository now. The main use now is Issue tracking, used by both end-users and ourselves. So the 50 MB limit is blocking us at the moment. Hopefully this answers you question.
