Strongly requesting a last snapshot

2015-05-27 Thread noobwerkz
Hi,

I am quite concerned about the loss of software heritage now that Google
Code is shutting down, and I'd like to ask for Google to provide a last
snapshot of the software that hasn't yet been merged with Github. The loss
is likely to be experimental implementations and docs left over by someone
who might have forgotten about it. This value should be merged into the
rest of the open-source ecosystem for when someone else is researching the
subject. I wanted to do it myself, but I'm concerned because Google places
strict filters against automated bots and I don't want to breach the TOS.

Please save the rest of this potentially-useful collection so that future
developers can study it.

Concerned developer,
Colin

takedown request: Project 'vixia'

2015-05-27 Thread Michael Brown
Hello!

Someone at Lumenera discovered that there's a Google project named 'vixia'
(https://code.google.com/p/vixia/) created back in 2010 using proprietary code
from Lumenera from our Hornet camera project.

You can see for example here

https://code.google.com/p/vixia/source/browse/trunk/Windows/HornetdrvEx/bulkdev.c

that they left the Lumenera copyright in the header.

Looking through other files, they are very similar to old versions in
Lumenera's internal svn repo around that time, and still today.

The question is: What do we have to do now to get this project taken down?

I can be reached at this email address, or contacted at (613) 736-4077, x173

Thanks!

Michael

Hi,

We aren't in the business of deciding copyright disputes, but we respond
lawfully to DMCA takedown requests from copyright holders.

Instructions can be found at
http://code.google.com/p/support/wiki/FAQ#How_do_I_report_a_copyright_or_intellectual_property_violation?
