Dear all, thank you very much for the valuable points you made! @Christian: Big screen... lucky you :-) Some sites (think twitter) solve this by center-aligning the content and providing an ambient background. I hope, as the functionality of the site increases over time, to make better use of that extra space (i.e. social links, more thumbnails) which can wrap to the next line on smaller screens. @Shyam: Thank you for the encouraging words and for pointing out this serious issue. As I personally don't use openId (or for that matter anything alike) I've failed to anticipate the logout problem - will fix ASAP. Suppose, they are using a public computer, they might not log off their google account, which would be disastrous.
