This was also specific to .gwtar files, which will no longer be shipped
with the release. This also means the total size will drop, from around 30
mb to 16 mb.

Did you managed to workaround or solve the above issue? I am having the 
exact same issue. Does this mean that the gwt-user 2.7 jar in maven is 
useless?

Hi Daniel,

I had a closer look to the thing. The paths mentionning your home account
in google are stored in all the gwtar files in the gwt-user-2.7.0 artifact

Does that really mean that the offical gwt releases are built on your
desktop machine ?
