[GRASS-dev] GUI -> change working directory - what should this action do?

today, I saw for the first time ;-) in the GUI: 

Settings → GRASS working environment → Change working directory.

what should this action do? has this ever be tested in winGRASS? how could
this be tested?

Thanks - I hope both the Windows and the Ubuntu version received some testing.
I have packaged it for Fedora and EPEL at
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/neteler/grass78/

The 7.8.5 milestone:

Any opinions on it?

I'd suggest publishing it as  "final" once back to 100% for the
