Re: [GRASS-dev] Community sprint at FOSS4G 2021
Hi all, I wanted to at least pop by and say hi, but I don't see anyone on the map in the code sprint room. There are four different jitsi meeting rooms in that map, but only one is currently used. If we decide to use another Jiitsi link for GRASS GIS discussions, we are asked to include that into the wiki (and ideally also post it in the Code sprint channel on the foss4g venueless site. So, is anyone currently somewhere ? :-) Moritz On 2/10/21 10:32, Stefan Blumentrath wrote: Hi, It`s autumn holiday around Oslo/Norway, so I will be a bit on and off today (unfortunately more off than on), but try to join at least in the European evening… Main aim for the community sprint for me would be to get a GRASS 8.0 packaged in OSGeo4W. That's fine Wolf. I really meant that in case you have some Perl experience. There are certainly many different issues (see good first issue label), but similar to the Perl issue is what you get when running `shellcheck */*.sh`. https://github.com/OSGeo/grass/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+label%3A%22good+first+issue%22 On Sat, Oct 2, 2021 at 7:02 AM Wolf Bergenheim wrote: > Ugh. Hi, It`s autumn holiday around Oslo/Norway, so I will be a bit on and off today (unfortunately more off than on), but try to join at least in the European evening… Main aim for the community sprint for me would be to get a GRASS 8.0 packaged in OSGeo4W. Without PDAL support that is very close, but I really think not having PDAL support on MS Windows would be sad. So, if anybody with C++ build experience (and maybe build experience on MS Win) would be available for a chat about possible paths to achieve that, I would be very glad. Please get in touch. If I find the time I will likely work on some of my stale PRs … That said, I briefly joined https://play.workadventu.re/@/osgeo/foss4g/codesprint But no one seems to be there at the moment… Is there a Jitsi (or similar) room to meet?
