Re: [GRASS-PSC] Stepping down
Thank you all for your kind words ! GRASS GIS and, especially, its community, has given me too much for me to just completely abandon it. I just don't have the time right now to occupy a position that someone else would fill better. And yes, Jeff, impossible to get FOSS4G out of one's blood :-) Moritz Am 09.02.2023 23:04 schrieb Markus Neteler: Dear Moritz, On Wed, Feb 8, 2023 at 10:12 PM Moritz Lennert wrote: Hi ! As mentioned in a separate thread a while ago, I think it would be better if I stepped down from the board and left the place for someone more active. This will be with a big tear in my eye, but even though in my current work we use GRASS GIS, I just didn't have the time to spend any time on project governance anymore. And now I'm going into a new professional direction that will take me further away from GRASS (and GIS in general). I hope to still be able to follow the life of the community and see you all at one occasion or another. Thank you a lot for serving on PSC for so many years! Your experience and dedication have been so helpful to bring forward this project. Please keep connected to the GRASS GIS community, as much as time permits :-) Best wishes, Markus ___ grass-psc mailing list grass-psc@lists.osgeo.org https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/grass-psc

Re: [GRASS-PSC] Stepping down
Hi Moritz, I'm sorry that you stepped down from PSC and I hope to still see some answer from you in the mailing lists from time to time. Your comments and contributions are and will always be appreciated! Thanks for all the time and effort you have dedicated to GRASS project and community through the years! We wish you all the best in the next path you'll follow :) We have already invited Helli to join tomorrow's meeting if he's available. Cheers and thanks again! Re: [GRASS-PSC] Stepping down
Thank-you Moritz for all of your efforts, through the decade(s), of promoting GRASS GIS. PS> I'll always appreciate hearing your opinions, no matter how often that is. It's impossible to turn off the passion for FOSS4G. Thanks again, -jeff On 2023-02-08 5:11 p.m., Moritz Lennert wrote: Hi ! Decision: Replace by the first on the "waiting list" (list of people standing for elections, but not elected, ranked by number of votes)" (https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/wiki/PSC/Minutes/PSC_Meeting_20210203) From https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/wiki/PSC/Election2020, I see that this would mean Helmut Kudrnovsky should take my place.
