Re: [GRASS-user] GRASS, ENVI 5.6, IDL 8.8 Archaeological Site Geology and GIS
Hello Micha and Everyone, *question is for ENVI users,* I looked at Landsat image processing with GRASS wiki pages and I found that using ENVI 5.6 and IDL 8.8 is much more advanced and much easier. I am a total beginner and I found that after image corrections , it's possible to detect from the rock spectrum database and people prepare color coded images equal to different rocks. There are many papers using these techniques and I want to learn this technique step by step for ENVI 5.6 and IDL 8.8 and for the latest Landsat Satellite. I need a tutorial , pdf or book.* I could not find ENVI 5.6 IDL 8.8 SPECIFIC MANUAL.* Can you help me ? [GRASS-user] An Photographer needs help
I am an amateur photographer and archaeologist who interested in GRASS long time ago. My wish is to see the resolution lines direction map at a picture. Why ? - My 1946 Leica inspires me lot with its relief effects at dim light. - I saw a optic art -60 to 80s graphic art - drawing and different directions of lines in a regular lines group , gives a relief effect. I know mtf softwares reveal sagittal and tangential but I want to make more and want to analysis per 1 degree and make separations only belong to one angle. [GRASS-user] Site Location Modeling
Can you please tell me how GRASS and statistics science goes together. Is it possible program GRASS for that purpose or what are the free softwares to do this ? They say they give geographic details to the software and the software draw the probability of finding new sites . [GRASS-user] Northern Italy , Stradivari research , Flora
Hello , I am an archaeologist and a luthier. I am reading everything I found about Stradivari and Cremona. After seeing what people are doing with aerial photographs and flight simulation programs , I decided to do the same for north italy. Where can I find northern italy aerial pictures for to construct flight simulation scene ? If I can find multispectral flora pictures , i would be glad. If everything comes cheap or free , I will be very happy. And I need sedimentary analysis of rivers , their path 200 years ago and wood history analysises.
