Bug description:
  == Comment: #0 - Hendrik Brueckner - 2016-03-15 06:33:03 ==
For NUMA, ensure the setting of these kernel configuration for s390x:

  # CONFIG_NUMA_BALANCING_DEFAULT_ENABLED is not set
  CONFIG_NUMA_EMU=y
  CONFIG_EMU_SIZE=0x1000

CONFIG_NUMA without CONFIG_NUMA_EMU does not make any sense. s390 does not
provide hardware topology information. However, we do support fake NUMA to
improve performance issues seen with very large memory configurations.
Therefore, CONFIG_NUMA_EMU has to be enabled.

Given that we only support fake NUMA
CONFIG_NUMA_BALANCING_DEFAULT_ENABLED should be disabled, since it
moves pages without any benefit but costs additional cpu cycles.

Bug description:
Please backport and integration the upstream linux commit below:

  commit e5ebe63214d44d4dcf43df02edf3613e04d671b9
  Author: Ursula Braun
  Date: Fri Dec 11 12:27:55 2015 +0100

qeth: initialize net_device with carrier off

/sys/class/net//operstate for an active qeth network
interface offen shows "unknown", which translates to "state UNKNOWN
in output of "ip link show". It is caused by a missing initialization
of the __LINK_STATE_NOCARRIER bit in the net_device state field.
This patch adds a netif_carrier_off() invocation when creating the
  net_device for a qeth device.

Bug description:

https://github.com/zfsonlinux/zfs/commit/c352ec27d5c5ecea8f6af066258dfd106085eaac

"In certain circumstances, "zfs send -i" (incremental send) can produce
a stream which will result in incorrect sparse file contents on the
  target.

The problem manifests as regions of the received file that should be
sparse (and read a zero-filled) actually contain data from a file that
was deleted (and which happened to share this file's object ID)."

This bug causes data corruption, and has privacy/security
implications. I think we need to get this fix into Xenial ASAP.

For further information check out the attached image.

  ---
  Desired solution:

  - Add "Format" option to the quicklist of usb storage devices as shown
below (note: also see bug #1063816):

  -
  Open
  Format
  ---
  [title of USB storage device]
  ---
  Unlock from Launcher
  Eject
  -

  - Clicking on this option should bring up the format confirmation
dialogue to make sure the user really did intend to click 'format'

[Group.of.nepali.translators] [Bug 1552730] Re: ssh-setup/nova needs to support novaclient.v2 API for xenial

2016-03-15 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package autopkgtest - 3.20.1

---
autopkgtest (3.20.1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * When testing click packages, don't regenerate all AppArmor profiles if
/var/cache/apparmor/click-ap.rules already exists. That way the profiles
can be pre-adjusted once in a testbed instead of once for each test run,
which greatly speeds up iterations. (LP: #1553797)
  * Move SshRunner* tests from lxc to lxd.
  * NullRunner.test_tree_output_dir test: Only check for cpu_{model,flags} on
x86 and ARM, as these need parsing adjustments on other architectures.
  * Disable lxd autopkgtest for now, this still needs some way to set a proxy.
  * lib/VirtSubproc.py, cmd_reboot(): Add workaround for dhclient hanging on
reboot (see LP #1556175).
  * Fix regular expression for removing profile guarded dependencies on hosts
that don't support build profiles.
  * adt-virt-lxc: Suppress lxc-copy's stdout in the "no btrfs" fallback case.

to correct things by backing out to a terminal then returning
(Ctrl+Alt+F1, pause, Alt+F7), but sometimes when I return the dual
screen setup acts as one large screen (windows are stretched to the
full width of both screens) and many of the windows collect on the
  first workspace.

Bug description:
  [Impact]

   * Not able to switch projects by the project dropdown list.

  [Test Case]

  1 - enable Identity V3 in local_settings.py
2 - Log in on Horizon
  3 - make sure that the SESSION_BACKEND is "signed_cookies"
4 - Try to change project on the dropdown

  [Regression Potential]

   * None

When you try to select a new project on the project dropdown, the
project doesn't change. The commit below has introduced this bug on
Horizon's master and has passed the tests verifications.

https://github.com/openstack/horizon/commit/16db58fabad8934b8fbdfc6aee0361cc138b20af

For what I've found so far, the context being received in the
decorator seems to be the old context, with the token to the previous
project. When you take the decorator out, the context received by the
"can_access" function receives the correct context, with the token to
  the new project.

  Steps to reproduce:

1 - Enable Identity V3 (to have a huge token)
2 - Log in on Horizon (lots of permissions loaded on session)
  3 - Certify that you SESSION_BACKEND is "signed_cookies"
4 - Try to change project on the dropdown

The project shall remain the same.

Bug description:
Load on the main Ubuntu archive servers is rather peakish, and tends
to create a traffic peak on our Internet links at fairly regular times
each day, preventing customers from accessing the archive. This
impacts the cloud archive mirrors using the ubuntu-repository-cache
charm also, because they are hitting a squid cache which is backed by
the main archive. This effect will be even more pronounced under the
recently-announced automatic update policy for xenial.

One solution which would alleviate this to some extent would be to
spread the load over a longer period by increasing the random sleep
time in the daily update script from 30 minutes to, say, 1-2 hours.
