  [IMPACT]

  With current default vhost listening on IPV6, nginx won't start on
  fully IPV6 disabled system, expecting to connect to a IPV6 socket on
  port 80.

  # nginx -t
  nginx: the configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf syntax is ok
  ==> nginx: [emerg] socket() [::]:80 failed (97: Address family not supported
by protocol)
  nginx: configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf test failed

  # cat /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/default
  ..
  server {
   listen 80 default_server;
  ==> listen [::]:80 default_server;
  ..

  [TEST CASE]
  * Disable ipv6
    # cat /proc/cmdline
     ipv6.disable=1

  * Reboot for the kernel parameter to be taken into account.

  * Fresh install of nginx:
    # apt-get install nginx -y

  Output:

  # apt-get install nginx -y

code.

[Group.of.nepali.translators] [Bug 1856159] Re: [SRU] 2.43

2020-02-20 Thread Michael Vogt
** Also affects: snapd (Ubuntu Trusty)
   Importance: Undecided
   Status: New

** Description changed:

  This is a new version of snapd.

  The changelog is available here
  https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/blob/2.43/packaging/ubuntu-16.04/changelog,
  the raw git changelog is available here:
  https://github.com/snapcore/snapd/commits/2.43 (note that the debian
  changelog is auto-generated from the merges of the git commits so there
  is usually no need to look at the raw git commits).

  The travis logs for 2.43 can be found here: https://travis-
  ci.org/snapcore/snapd/branches

  The snappy team released a new release that we want SRU into xenial. The
  new process described in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SnapdUpdates was used
  and we have done integration-tests on the snappy images, autopkgtests on
  classic and unit tests.
+
+ This time we also include trusty to ensure that on trusty users can get
+ a more recent version that auto-installs the snapd snap so that they get
+ the benefit of re-exec there.

[Group.of.nepali.translators] [Bug 1841700] Please test proposed package

2020-02-20 Thread Corey Bryant
Hello Jorge, or anyone else affected,

Accepted neutron into ocata-proposed. The package will build now and be
available in the Ubuntu Cloud Archive in a few hours, and then in the
-proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. To enable the -proposed
repository:

  sudo add-apt-repository cloud-archive:ocata-proposed
  sudo apt-get update

Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag
from verification-ocata-needed to verification-ocata-done. If it does
not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change
the tag to verification-ocata-failed. In either case, details of your
testing will help us make a better decision.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

** Changed in: cloud-archive/ocata
   Status: Won't Fix => Fix Committed

  instance ingress bandwidth limiting doesn't works in ocata.

Bug description:
  [Environment]

  Xenial-Ocata deployment

  [Description]

  The instance ingress bandwidth limit implementation was targeted for
  Ocata [0], but the full implementation ingress/egress was done during
  the pike [1] cycle.

  However, isn't reported or explicit that ingress direction isn't
  supported in ocata, which causes the following exception when
  --ingress is specified.

  It would be desirable for this feature to be available on Ocata for being
able to
  set ingress/egress bandwidth limits on the ports.

  [Testing]

  Without these patches, trying to set a ingress bandwidth-limit rule
  the following exception will be raised.

  $ openstack network qos rule create --type bandwidth-limit --max-kbps 300
--max-burst-kbits 300 --ingress bw-limiter
  Failed to create Network QoS rule: BadRequestException: 400: Client Error for
url: https://openstack:9696/v2.0/qos/policies//bandwidth_limit_rules,
Unrecognized attribute(s) 'direction'

  A single policy set (without the --ingress parameter) as supported in
  Ocata will just create a limiter on the egress side.

  1) Check the policy list

  $ openstack network qos policy list
