I think this is unfortunate, and I have mailed the moderator to figure out the rationale behind the decision. Stack Overflow is fine if we are just doing programming questions, but I think we do want other questions on design and maybe asking about features in GTK+ or GNOME for aspiring application writers. Hi Sriram, Perhaps, it will be a good idea to extend the Stackexchange community to GNOME/GTK+/GLib programming, but strictly limit it to only programming related questions, so the questions about GNOME configuration or switching GTK+ themes will not make into it.
