I have a set of electric Fiamms (high pitched--132 dB?) which were purchased at my local Trak Auto and which I installed up under the front fairing, where the stock horns were. Had to make a bracket, and use a relay. Say folks At last years Rally in the Valley a Goldwing event in Salem, Va. I got a set of Amigo horns. Just as loud. On my 93 GTS they can be mounted on a cross bar under the head light behind that little grill. I found two bolts there that worked out just fine. Half of the horns will be visible and mine are chrome. Has a neat effect. Yes, you will need to use a relay. I mounted it where the stock horn was at. The stock circuit is hot and the button connects to ground. With them out in the front a lot of the blast goes out into the open. Have found when I needed them the other drivers have a look of panic to their face and are maneuvering rapidly out of the way. They mimic a fright truck nicely. Loud horns can startle chasing dogs to give up the chase and buzzards fly off road kill. I do believe that Fiamms are the best but they are scarce to find. What ever brand just make sure that the dB rating is 100+ for each horn. Ken Swartz

Re: CA NV UT CO WY SD ND Trip next week
I'm possibly interested, it would just be for a part of the CO portion of the trip. What roads/towns are on the agenda? Let me know, we'll talk. Re: New Member
Thanks Dude, Steven Puig suggested a 750 pipe I think I'll try. Thanks anyway... - Original Message - From: paramithas [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Multiple recipients of list [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, May 21, 2000 10:37 PM Subject: Re: New Member Question: Anyone know of an exhaust system or slip-on other then "Smith = Brothers" $300.00 Pipe? May all your rides be safe and cool. PEACE!!! = "CruzinTrooper" Hey cruze, I made my own slip on, went to the local exhaust place and asked them to shape to my liking a pipe about 8" long with a slash cut at the end. I painted it a high temp silver (the same color as the Yamaha gray), looks like it came from the factory that way. I then simply slipped it onto the cat and since most of the back pressure is provided by the cat I assume there will be no worries about running the bike as such. Now the dbs are a bit high I must admit but what a great rumble going down the roadand by no means as offensive as an HD straight pipe, nor is it tiring on long hauls. It's not for every one but George and Marcia like it. _ NetZero - Defenders of the Free World Click here for FREE Internet Access and Email http://www.netzero.net/download/index.html
