Re: [h-cost] Renovation Worldcon Masquerade Photos up!

2011-08-29 Thread Daniel Fenwick
I'm not getting any photos, either.

I was there and took photos, but I wasn't terribly impressed with the
masquerade in general. Only 29 entries (and I think only 28 actually went out
on stage.) Unfortunately, I saw many better costumes in the hall than I saw on
the stage, for the most part.

My wife and I went in Jedi costumes 3 days and medieval stuff 2. It was a fun
con, but I'm not sure I'd travel across the country to attend (it was local for
us this year.)

Every time I click on a link, it sends me back around to the same or similar
page, but no photos. Do I have to subscribe to see them?

[h-cost] Buttons

2010-10-14 Thread Daniel Fenwick
All,

I'm needing a good number of buttons in very short order. Finding something
that looks ok for 14th century hasn't been easy. Anyone have any
recommendations for a vendor?

Thanks.

I found some a year or so ago on Ebay. I'm sorry that I can't remember
 the
vendor's name but they were in Hong Kong and the shipping was pretty
 fast.
 Prices were outstanding.

Re: [h-cost] copyright law thing...

2010-05-13 Thread Daniel Fenwick
For everyone who is terribly confused, here is a place to start.
http://www.copyright.gov/

Understand that copyright violation can cost you huge sums of money in
damages plus attorney's fees (which also tend to be large for those kinds of
cases.) It's usually best to stick with a conservative interpretation of
the law unless you are willing to go pay an attorney for a legal opinion on
your specific question.

Simple answer, yes. Although you might manage to dig through copyright law
and find an exception, I wouldn't know where.

I was just curious. Is it infringement if it's just to one person? For
 an exchange of information?
