I'm missing something here.... a skirt with 4 gores would usually have seams at both sides, plus center front and back. So why does the zipper need to jog? However, I agree with not using a back zipper whenever possible because many of us cannot pull them up all the way by ourselves, and it is a pain to need someone to help dress you . Side seam if possible would be my choice. -Megan
