This kinda sounds like the costumes that were so
prevalent on the original STAR TREK series femme
fatales there were lots of breast cup/halter
top things on the show to look futuristic ...maybe
the magazine was a TV guide of the show.

Good thought on style, but wrong time period for a magazine cover :-(
