I don't dye them myself, but you can buy dyed pearls from places like Fire
Mountain Gems.
But if I did try, I'd get the dyes and fixatives from Dharma Trading Co.  in
Berkeley, CA.

the suggestion WickedFrau made to search the net on the button/style
number given on the card was very useful. I used three small online
stores to round out three sets of buttons.

They will. I needed someting like 42 buttons for an 18th century coat and Jo 
Ann's had the perfect ones...on sale. But of course they only had like 15 of 
them. I ordered the rest I needed and even though they came 2 weeks later, they

Seems to me that I have had good luck googleing the model number and make
and getting stuff to come up.  Also, some folks will special order the
buttons for you.  As a matter of fact Jo Anns might even do that for you...
