[h-cost] Venetian gown sleeves
I found this painting in a search http://tinyurl.com/4np64b This is the first time I have found this type of sleeve (pink gown) pre 1500s. Has anyone seen this type of sleeve in the 1400s? I know that Memling paints it but because it is allegorical it is considered a fantasy sleeve. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Hans_Memling_065.jpg Anyone see this kind of sleeve in any painting you have come across that is not allegorical?
