I'm not sure if this was presented as fact or if it's one of those urban legends, but I read that decades after his death, some of Napoleon's hair showed up at auction and was tested for various things. It showed that he had ingested arsenic on an ongoing basis. So was someone trying to poison him or was he using unsafe cosmetics of the time? Julie
