I'm in Australia and we portray English nobility of the 1580s. I do sew, but I'm sewing outfits for my husband's band and don't have any time left to sew for my children. I would dearly love to have someone else help me. We have a performance at Easter and then in late June. I just can't find any more time to sew! (an Amish supplier) sells colonial shirts in a more 18th-c. style. They have them for boys--or they did when the catalog that I have came out. Here's the description: Ropp Colonial Shirts for Boys: two button closure, long sleeve, regular collar, button cuff, wooden buttons. 6 oz. shirting, oxford muslin, 100% cotton. Natural color. S(6-8), M(10-12), L(14-16) As of the 6-year-old catalog that I have, they were $22.98. Note that they're not white. You can get them with a stand-up collar (Jefferson collar--costs $1 extra) or without a collar, but it might take longer. They also have them in linen (still not white). They are extremely helpful on the phone, but they don't take credit cards (at least as of the last time I ordered from them). 1-800-595-0031 Good luck!
