some 370 north of Yangon - on MW 594 kHz, ending the local language trans-
mission at 14.59 UT with Buddhist chants, "Akasattata bhummata nato '
[a recitation of Buddhists all over the world as a way of expressing their
faith in the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha]. English broadcast begins
at 15.30 UT announcing {Yangon} SW 5985 kHz, 576 kHz and 594 kHz, starting
with a 15 minute news broadcast. Though, announced, 5985 kHz was off the
air on 17 Aug 2023.

some 575 kilometers north of Yangon, operated by Tatmadaw [Military] found
on 7345 kHz around 11.00 past 11.30 UT in native languages mixing with CRI
co-channel on 18 Aug 2023. Thanks to a listening tip from Pradip Kundu. On
MW Thazin Radio Puyin U Lwin operates on 639 kHz.

Something`s always wrong at RadioCuba (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** EGYPT. 9439.994, Aug 18 at 2134, R. Cairo S9+25/45 into UTwente but with extreme distortion, total loss. Something`s always egregious in Egypt (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** EUROPE. 9290.017, Aug 18 at 2010, presumed R. Spaceshuttle International, poor signal with rock music, interspersed with DJ talk, Dick Spacewalker, S7/S8 into UTwente, probably too close, getting residual groundwave or backscatter. 21st anniversary special supposed to last all weekend, See http://spaceshuttleradio.freeservers.com/ It`s after 1400 Aug 18 but I do not see anything more specific about birthday schedule than 9290. Website has roster of everyone(?) reporting or QSLed over the years. I`m there once for: ``21st of April 2012, VOR Extra, 15843 usb`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** IRELAND. 13264 USB, Aug 18 at 2329, YL with VOLMET, about Copenhagen. This is Shannon (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. 101.5, Aug 18 at 1820 UT, KOCD Okeene still dead air in $tereo for at least the tenth day, first noticed Aug 9 (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR) ** OKLAHOMA. Tropo up from OKC, Aug 18 at 0510 UT. On RF 36 I am getting decode, so explore all the subs into the STB. As I flip thru the channels, I am getting input from two *different* RF channels. This is very confusing. At each stop on the virtual span I change to RF to see where it`s really coming from. 36-1, first the PSIP ID is KUOKCD1 which means it`s RF36; 36-1, later just KUOK which is RF 29. That`s Univision on both 36-2, UNIMAS, RF 29 36-2, UNIMAS, RF 36 36-3, this number is skipped! 36-4, Catchy, RF 36 36-5, H, fades below threshold before I can check 36-6, seems another one here I did not get to For KUOK-CD, RF 36 & virtual 36, rabbitears.info shows: 36-1 KUOK 36-2 Unimas 36-3 [skipped] 36-4 StartTV 36-5 H 36-6 3ABN 48-1 Estrella Catchy is a Comedy channel. Its website does lead to 36.4 KUOK for ZIP 73101: https://www.catchycomedy.com/schedule/ Rabbiters.info has lots of stations on that net, mostly translators, but nothing for Market 50, OKC: https://www.rabbitears.info/search.php?request=network_search=Catchy+Comedy Note: adding to the confusion, the *real* plain old KUOK is in far Woodward, RF and virtual 35 with UNI, never? seen here, 8 kW ERP. Are the OKC KUOKs considered as subsidiaries/satellites/relays of the Woodward one? Surely it`s the other way around. RF 36 site in OKC is just east of Santa Fe Ave on SE 49th St. Note also, RF 29 KTUZ with its panoply is really licensed to Shawnee, which is rather too far out to be considered a suburb of OKC. VG signal into Maryland SDR. 2207 first feature is about some cyclist from Toledo who won the Tour de France and just died at age 95. 2216 contact info. 2217 forests in flames in Spain, including Tenerife, interviewing someone there with a very heavy accent hard to understand (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** TURKEY. 11785.009, Aug 18 at 2200, VOT English, not off the air, VG signal into UTwente, mod OK except rather distorted during music. ending `Weekly Analysis`, music; 2225 multi-lingual ID filler reel; etc. (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2204 monitoring: NOT confirmed Friday August 18 at 2030 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1323 kHz - instead some preacher or storyteller with a heavy Irish? accent. U S A. 7490-, Sunday August 13 at 2300, especially since CBS-TV `60 Minutes` is going to run more than an hour late due to stupid golfgame, I stay on WBCQ webcast after `Ginga Brasil` for Harry Shearer`s `Le Show`, but stream stops at 2302*. I bring up 7490 itself into Maryland SDR, and it`s also off. Then find 6160, 5130 and 9330 are also off. Must be total power failure at Monticello; of course I don`t know for sure whether the other frequencies were axually on until then. By 2312, webcast resumed but not 7490 until *2314 carrier, *2316 add modulation, and staying on rest of hour. NA5B remote shows 7490 -106 Hz, but we know it`s miscalibrated, see TURKEY. Alexandria VA is closer at -71 Hz as it puts WWV at 1 +3/4 Hz, 15000 +5/6 Hz. 9330 still off at 2324, and at much later check 0324 Aug 14. At 0215 August 14 I try the W1NT in NH, which has WWV on 5 and 10 MHz within 1 Hz or less.
