USAGM Greenville-NC bcast center stopped 17870 kHz on April 28 at 17.00 UT.

look-out   'OCB SPAN' Organisation via Greenville-NC state

April 20/21  13-17 UT  17865 kHz

April 27/28  13-17 UT  17870 kHz







USA   17690 kHz  May 1 at 1710 UT, again NO signal of R. Marti to Cuban

mercenaries for Russia in Ukraine. Was also missing and found nowhere

else on April 30. Again May 1 at 1720-1725 UT I do a quick but thorough

bandscan and find it nowhere else on the 21, 17, 15, 13 or 11 MHz bands.



Propagation is degraded but VOA still manages a good signal in English

from Grimesland on 17530 kHz, and Marti to Cuba on 13605 kHz, while 11930

& 11860 kHz are JBA absorbed. It's done for now but unconfirmed whether

permanently canceled. Could it be they got zero listener response? I'm on

a Martinoticias mailing list and never saw any reference to this secret?

Now I search the website on Ucrania and get loads of hits on stories men-

tioning it but nothing about the broadcasts; however this brief about the

mercenaries:







Then no significant hits searching on the 4 frequencies used:

17680, 17690, 17865, 17870 kHz, but no hits on 13605 or 13.605 kHz either

as if SW were irrelevant.

Confirmed Thursday May 2 from 1631 on SW Radio, Germany, 6160.000,
S8/9+10 with storm crashes into UTwente.

UNIDENTIFIED. 11981 approx. center, May 2 at 0640, very fast RTTY, S8,
INTRUDER, into SWBC band worldwide. I vaguely recall it once ended at
11970 but now per ITU it`s 11600-12100 --- that still leaves
broadcasters below 11600 and above 12100 as intruders into utility
bands. Klingenfuss 2022 has no ute between 11760.8 and 12109. Can
anyone ID this, should it recur? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
