Making the current Charlie Prince show - the one for December - was an adventure: Nothing more than the usual slip of the tongue happened during the relaxed recording - and shortly before the end the studio was left for a consultation. The shock followed when looking at the PC monitor after returning to the studio: The "finished" recording gave up after three quarters of an hour because of too little PC memory space. So we sat down and recorded the remaining quarter of an hour again! On 18th of March at 11:00 hs UTC on 7330 kHz: British tribute show for EMR founder Tom Taylor (re-edit) Many of DXers played with small transmitters in their youth - but only a few of them could broadcast their programmes via 100 Kilowatt in later years. The offshore radio stations of the sixties - especially Radio Caroline - gave numerous fans the idea to produce their own free radio. One of them became a legend, as he could please Europe's free radio fans with more than 300 shows for "European Music Radio" in over 40 years. He took the step from being a "pirate" to an impressive renter of broadcasting times that can be heard all over Europe. As the station's founder he listened to the name Tom Taylor - as DJ he called himself Barry Stephens. On February 12th, this warm-hearted and helpful free-radio-maker was buried in Semington, Trowbridge, Great Britain. A number of English-speaking radio colleagues have joined forces to create a tribute show about relays all over Europe. For 2009 I will sign the contract with Italian Radio Relay Service/NEXUS this evening! Broadcasting times will stay the same, but the frequency is a new one: 9510 kHz! A slightly change in musical format will also be done as we will play music from the 70s, 80s and 90s up to gospel from now! Radio Tatras International cease the relays from Kuldiga Latvia 1350 AM (50 kw) since July 7. 2006. Till this time Radio Tatras International (owner Jan Telensky) not paid to broadcasting company LVRTC (owner of 1350 AM transmitter facility in Latvia) about programme relay on 1350 AM. Dear OMs! As I am new to this list I want to introduce my self in a short way: I am 44 years old and DXing since 1981. First I made short shows on the Dx-hobby (for example for german DX-clubs. The shows have been aired via HCJB and Radio RSA mid of the 80s) and since 1985 I am producing shows with black music. Now my question: I am looking for a listener in the state of N. Y. who can tell me more about the broadcastings of WRHO, Oneonta. If anybody knows further (legal) relay possibilities (for free contributions) in main cities of the US he's very welcome!
