[HCDX] 945 kHz - question
Dear Friends, This afternoon I observed the frequency of 945 kHz. Strongest stations were Toulouse/France and a Romanian station. I also heard a station with old German hit songs. Do you think this could have been Radio Nord from Latvia? I only heard one announcement, sounding like Taiwa Music..., at 15.00 UTC this station had no news, the music went on. [HCDX] new QSL: Nis 711
Hello, Yesterday I received a kind e-mail QSL written in English for a 2002 report on 711 kHz from Radio Nis, Serbia Montenegro. v/s is Maria Burgic She writes that they had well received my snail mail letter... (which, however, remained unanswered). And they were quite pleased about it. Address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] At present I can't hear Nis at all. A Romanian station covers the frequency completely when directed my antenna toward Eastern Europe. Re: [HCDX] UNID 1350 kHz
While on one week vacation in Northern Karelia, Eastern part of Finland I heard an UNID station on 1350kHz around 23 UTC speaking mostly Arabic with short IDs in French mentioning countries in the Middle East and and North Africa. What is this station? Sounds like Radio Orient from France, has been new on medium wave for a few weeks now. [HCDX] unid Chinese 3900 kHz
Dear Friends, Last night I had another unidentified Chinese station on 3900 KHz at around 00.15 UTC. There were reports, probably in Chinese. Signal was only weak. Formerly there was listed Hulun Buir on that frequency. Any ideas? On this occasion thanks to all of you who helped me with the identifying of the Chinese station on 4785 kHz recently. [HCDX] Spain MW Local Programs/SER Valencia
Hello, In addition to Giampero Bernadini's observations I would like to add that at least SER and COPE normally have local advertisements at 21.55 UTC (i.e. at 23.55 local time, or soon 22.55 UTC when summer time in Europe will have changed to winter time). Some SER stations also broadcast local advertisements later, mostly between 00.15 and 00.25 local time). A few days ago I heard SER Valencia on 1179 kHz as late as 01.06 hours local time with local ID and advertisments. By the way, signal of this one was really good here in Northern Germany. I think that the reply is from a DX-er, who has the station's authorisation to confirm reception reports - and he has an address in Jiangsu. I don't know how much value it has as a QSL, because I don't think that he is able to check the station's log book. On the other hand - how many stations check DX-ers reception reports nowadays? 73 and good luck! Björn Dear Björn, I totally agree to your opinion. So let's just be happy about the fact there there is the possibility of a receiving a positive reply from CHBC. Best 73's Hans-Dieter ---[Start Commercial]- World Radio TV Handbook 2003 is out! [HCDX] 558 kHz
Dear Friends, Today I found a station broadcasting in Hungarian on 558 kHz, and listened to it from 1600-1700 UTC. Any idea? I think there are several possibilities, ranging from Czechia, Slovenia to Spectrum Radio. However, concerning the direction the station must be from South Eastern Europe. At 1400 UTC I had already heard a local programme from Czesky Rozhlas Hradec on the frequency. Thanks a lot for your assistance and a Happy New Year to you all. [HCDX] radio voz - 1570
Hi everybody, this morning at 0515 UTC I heard a Spanish speaking religious station on 1570 kHz. It identified as Radio Voz - 1570 onda media. I think I also heard Guatemala.
