I´ve heard this station several times around 12 UTC. It does not sound like a jammer. [DX] Kansainväliset postituslistat
Olen aina ihmetellyt kuinka vähän suomalaiset DX-kuuntelijat avustavat esim. HCDX:n kansainvälistä listaa, samaa koskee mm. Glenn Hauserin DX Listening Digestiä. Poikkeus on Mika Mäkeläisen www.dxing.info. Suomessa DX-toiminta on aktiivista, kuten Andy Sennitt totesi jokin aika sitten. Joten miksi pantata tietoa, jos kuulee mielenkiintoisia asemia? Minä ainakin aion jatkaa valitsemallani tiellä, vaikka englantini on aika yksinkertaista. Jospa alkaisin kirjoittaa lokauksiani suomeksi, DX-kuuntelun yhdellävaltakielellä? Eri listoilla näkee lokauksia, jotka ovat kirjoitettu mm. ranskaksi ja erityisesti espanjaksi. Vaimo lomalla Prahassa, joten nyt ei ole esteitä harrastukselle. 73 de Jokke JKH Turku ___ Tsekkaa HCDX:n uusi www sivu: http://www.hard-core-dx.com/ - DX mailing list DX@hard-core-dx.com http://arizona.hard-core-dx.com/mailman/listinfo/dx ___ THE INFORMATION IN THIS ARTICLE IS FREE. [HCDX] Propagation on MW this week
Propagation on MW this week (37) has been very strange due to the geomagnetic storm. On 1377 kHz I can under normal conditions hear France Info, Lille 300 kW. Sometimes a Chinese station. This week at 1730 UTC the dominating station has been TWR Gavar, Armenia signing on at 1725 UTC. 18 UTC on 1314 kHz I´ve been hearing BBC Al Dhabbaya, United Arab Emirates instead of NRK´s powerhouse. Last wednesday 14.9. almost the only station on MW-dial around 18 UTC was YLE Pori. MW-band was almost totally silent except some stations from Iran and Romania. For some reason during the geomagnetic storms mw-stations from Italy, Romania and Iran come with exceptional good reception. [HCDX] Vectronics AT- 100 with AOR 7030 Plus
This dark afternoon me and my DX friend Ilkka Rainio were testing how my AOR 7030 Plus semi pro-rx works with Ilkka´s Vectronics AT- 100 active antenna and preselector. Really surprising results on MW and tropical bands. All signals were at least 10-20 dB stronger than without Vectronics. Passport says, sometimes Vectronics AT- 100 works well, sometimes not. Purchase on a returnable basis. All I can say it loves Ilkka´s Icom R-75 and AOR 7030+ of mine. 73´s Jouko Huuskonen Turku FINLAND Rx :AOR 7030 Plus Ant: 95 m lw to E. ---[Start Commercial]- World Radio TV Handbook 2005 is coming out. [HCDX] Vietnam on SW
I wonder who knows what´s the situation on Vietnamese local radio stations on SW. List of the stations and frequencies is really appreciated. WRTH, Passport and EiBi all offer different information. However, last Monday November 1 I heard a station most propably speaking Vietnamese on 6378,6 kHz at 1238 UTC. Was this Dien Bien RTV? 73´s Jouko Huuskonen Turku FINLAND ---[Start Commercial]- World Radio TV Handbook 2005 is coming out. [HCDX] AIR Kohima
Last Monday November 1 AIR Kohima was noted on 4850 kHz at 13 UTC with local Akashvani Kohima-ID. This station is a real exception among other AIR stations. It sounds many times so completely different! from all the other AIR stations. My Oxford Dictionary of the World tells this about Kohima: City in the far north-east of India, capital of the state of Nagaland; pop. (1991) 53,000. The Japanese advance into India during World War II was halted here by the British and Indian forces. [HCDX] Vietnam on SW
After sending a message to the Finnish list of HCDX, Jari Savolainen replied, there are only two Vietnamese stations on SW based on observations by Davies. His QTH is in the Philippines? Those two are: 4740v, SonLa Radio and TV on 828: 2200-0100, 0400-0600, 1200-1400 //828 MW. 6379v, Dien Bien Radio TV, Dien Bien Phu (sad place to the French Army) : ?2200-0030, 0400-0600, 1200v-1330 (NB name change from LaiChau following the division of old LaiChau province into new LaiChau and Dien Bien province into new LaiChau Provinces; the transmitter usually switches on any time time between *1130 and * 1155 in the middle of programming presumably carried on MW or FM ) (Davies in DXPlorer, September 19 via DX-Window 255) This all info was published in the club magazine Radiomaailma 10/04 (Radio World) of the Finnish DX Association. Jari Savolainen is an editor of Asia/ Oceania column of the World DX Bulletin. So, my UNID Vietnamese station on 6378,60 kHz at 1238 UTC is without no doubt DIEN BIEN RTV!!! 73´s Jouko Huuskonen Turku FINLAND ---[Start Commercial]- World Radio TV Handbook 2005 is coming out. Propagation has been exceptional good this week. So, I´ve managed to hear several Radio Republik Indonesia stations on SW. The strongest station in the 90 mb yesterday October 29 1340-1435 UT was RRI Palangkaraya from Kalimantan broadcasting on 3325 kHz. Exotic local music really pleasing my hearing with the bw 5,5 kHz of my AOR. Signal strength even S8-9. After 1430 UT Quran chanting on this frequency and also noted on 3345 kHz Ternate and Jambi on 4925 kHz. 4790 kHz RRI Fak Fak from Papua went off the air with Love Ambon at 1357 UT.
