[HCDX] New edition of my pirate radio address list PWDB

2007-08-03 Thread Martin Schoech

I updated my pirate-Radio address-list PWdB:

http://www.schoechi.de/pwdb.html

The main part of the list (other names, P.O. boxes, activity, etc.)
is only for subscribers, since I want to get some reward for my
work and also because some of the pirates are rather suspicious
about the publication of certain data on the web.

But the part of the list with the E-mail-addresses and the www-
pages can be seen for free:

http://www.schoechi.de/pwdb-ema.html
http://www.schoechi.de/pwdb-emb.html

Orders and critical comments are welcome !
Payment for a subscription to the list please via PayPal, the price
is 5 EUR / 6 USD for 2 years .. For the same you can also get free
access to the files of the QSL Info Pages QIP.

[HCDX] Global Crisis Watch Podcast - Oct 16 2006

2006-10-15 Thread Martin Schoech
October 16, 2006 | Episode #35
North Korea's Allies in Beijing, Terror Attacks in Mindanao, Islamic
Law in Malaysia

Global Crisis Watch calls to New York City, Manila and Penang,
Malaysia, to tackle China's enabling of North Korea and refusal to
enforce the Chapter VII UNSC resolutions, the terror attacks in
Mindanao and hunt for JI bombers Dulmatin and Umar Patek, and the
looming constitutional crisis faced in Malaysia over civil law versus
sharia law with Lt. Col. Gordon Cucullu, author of Separated at Birth:
How North Korea Became the Evil Twin, Maria Ressa, ABS-CBN News
Director and author of Seeds of Terror, and Dr. Maznah Mohamad,
political commentator and Malaysia specialist. Co-hosted by Bill Roggio
of The Fourth Rail.

Link: http://www.GlobalCrisisWatch.com/gcw/gcw_061016.mp3
30 minutes | 13.7 Megs

Notable Quotes
What I am hearing from all of my sources is that the same people who
paid for the missile test on July 4th of this year - that is, the
Iranians - also paid in whole or in part for this nuclear test.
- Lt. Col. Gordon Cucullu

(Abu Sayyaf has) really come out of the kind of kidnap-for-ransom
mode. They've now linked up with Jemaah Islamiyah; Khadaffy Janjalani
was a key man in that happen. JI helped link Abu Sayyaf with the Rajah
Solaiman Movement, which gives both the MILF and the Abu Sayyaf reach
into the northern parts of the Philippines. The RSM are Christian
converts so they speak Tagalog, the local dialect, without any southern
accent, without any hint that they come from the south. If you talk
about profiling, they would not fit the profile. They can merge into
the capitol (and) into the northern Christian cities so it's much
harder for law enforcement to actually be able to track them down.
- Maria Ressa

If (the Islamic Party of Malaysia) was to win the election, the first
thing that they would do is expand the implementation of Islamic laws
in all areas of life. In fact, the party is the government of one
state, since we have a federal system here. So they actually rule one
of the states in Malaysia, Kelantan, and they have passed the sharia
laws extensively. Sharia laws at the moment are only limited to family
law. But in Kelantan, they have expanded sharia laws to also include
criminal laws. Except at the moment there is a problem becaue they
cannot implement the laws unless the federal constitution also passes
the law. So it is a kind of a law waiting to be implemented. Although
it was passed by the state legislature, at any time whenever there is a
set of events, say one day the federal government is taken over by the
Islamic Party, definitely Islamic law will be implemented. So this is
what we are worrying about, the people of Malaysia. Though although at
the one can go on, one can conduct his business in a normal way, there
is something hanging up there and we don't know what, in fact, that
will have upon the non-Muslim population.
- Dr. Maznah Mohamad

Track Listing
SamulNori - P'ul Sal
Siegfried - Shiza
Shigeru Umebayashi - Farewell 1
Dick Lee - Rice

[HCDX] QIP: Now 50.000 qsl logs from 10.000 stations

2006-02-13 Thread Martin Schoech

QIP: Now 50.000 qsl logs from 10.000 stations

I'm very pround to tell all qsl-card-collectors, that the

QSL Information Pages for BC-DXers - QIP

at http://www.schoechi.de/qip.html

now contain more than 50.000 qsl logs from more than 10.000 BC
radio stations from around the world. These logs come from 241
different 'radio-countries' plus 46 different clandestine radio
target areas. Included are qsls from LW, MW, SW and FM
radio-stations. QSLs from pirates and from utility stations are
not included (the only exeptions are those from time signal
stations and from the Japanese lighthouse stations). The
majority of the qsl logs is from 1996 until today.

These logs exists in 2 versions

- MS Exel files for all large world regions (only av. for
subscribers)

- HTML pages for all visitors of the page (the zipped versions
of these HTML-pages (for an easier and faster download) are
again only av. for subscribers).

The subscription price in 5 EUR or 6 USD for 2 years. I prefer
payments via Paypal (no credit cards please!). Other payments
to my P.O.Box please.

I'd like to thank you all DX Clubs and all individual DXers for
their support of QIP in the last 8 years! Please continue to
send in your qsl logs to me. Contributors know that they get
access to some MS Excel files as a thank you for their
contribution.

Has anyone ever found an address for these guys,a suspected location,
or anything else about them? I've caught them several times putting a
huge signal into coastal North Carolina. Seen some published email
addresses but letters to them have come bouncing back. I assume the
location to be Europe, but it seems strange that such a powerful
pirate would be so totally anonymous and averse to listener contact.

Several E-mails adresses bounced back ? No wonder, they only
had one address [EMAIL PROTECTED] but even that one is
now closed. They even even do not have a mail box and they are
NOT from Great Britain as some loggers assume again and again.

For those who are interested in up-to-date pirate loggings please
joind the Dr. Tim Pirate Radio News - (nearly) all pirate logs from
the weekend in Europe (SW and MW) - every monday via E-mail
(two mails in txt format). Language is German, but that does not
matter if looking at the logs ..

Enter your address in the reg. box at
http://www.schoechi.de/mailing.html
and send me a short mail with your name/location. We are bit
cautious with new members. Thats why the Dr. Tim news do not
have a homepage or an online-version.

[HCDX] Mystery Radio, 6220, from UK ?

2005-07-20 Thread Martin Schoech

The message below is from DXLD 5-117.

Mystery Radio coming from the UK ?

With an address in Malmö ?

I respect all the clandestine Logs by Rumen very much, but this is
not Clandestine but Pirate Radio, and in my opinion the message
below is complete nonsense !

Nobody ever assumed it is from the UK, all think it is from Italy. If it
would be transmitting from the UK I guess Laser Hot Hits would
know it (remember, they set out a price of 500 EUR in order to
'reveal' or 'get' Mystery.)

And the 4580 in Malmö has been used by a single Pirate Radio
station (R Fusion), but this one closed down in 2001 and the OP
asked me more or less to remove the address from my pirate radio
address list.

I do not know how Rumen came accross these two facts. [And I do
not have his E-mail in order to ask]. But it is fact that there have
been 5 or 6 pirate radio stations in the past 10 years with a
'Mystery' in their name.

And to add some more mystery Malmö has several DXers : Roy
Sandgren is one (Radio 603), Hermod Pedersen (HCDX) is another
one. And and third DXer unfortunately died in April 2005 - Ove
Fransson. I do not think that Roy or Hermod are behind this ..

So if this reaches Rumen - please contact me reg this report !

Hi Martin,
please don't report me as the source (only a well-known pirate,
if you want), but forward this mail to any ML where you posted the
original message.

Many thanks!!!

You can try the following address

Bad info

 Return postage should be enclosed.
 (Rumen Pankov, R. Bulgaria)

I know nobody is allowed to confirm any Mistery Radio reception
reports, no address, no mail ... only a ghost station with a few
watts from somewhere!

I think Mistery Radio broadcasts will disappear soon, and we will
forget anything ..

I laugh about LHH's 500 Euros, it is a bahaviour like if they were
authorized to broadcast on 6219 kHz...

We are pirates, not BBC or DW!

[HCDX] Update for the Pirate Radio Address List PWDB

2004-12-10 Thread Martin Schoech

Update for the Pirate Radio Address List PWDB

I just finished the latest update for my address list ..

Or How to join the distribution list for the PWDB-Files ?

Pirate Radio Address List 'Piraten.WdB'
via http://www.schoechi.de/pwdb.html

The Pirate Radio Address List 'Piraten.WdB' contains
information about more than 2800 SW and MW pirates
from 1994-2004. It is available in a weekly updated
printed version for 5 or 7,5 Euro (depending on your
location and the method of delivery).

Or you can get access to the electronic version of the list
(as a PDF version, updated ca. every 3 weeks)
for an annual subscription of 3 USD
(or 2 years for 6 USD/5 EUR).

Of course you can also combine the access
to PWDB with the access to my
QSL Information Pages QIP.
The address list has the same prices as QIP.

So if you send in 3 USD you test both (QIP
and PWDB) for 6 month, for 6 USD / 5 Euro
you can use them both for 12 month.

I prefer PayPal payments to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Please do not use credit cards for PP payments !
Othwerwise just send 5 EUR note to my P.O.Box
in Eisenach.

A free and detailed E-mail- and WWW- address-list
of pirates from around the world can be found via the
address http://www.schoechi.de/pwdb.html too

So if you do want access to the list fill in your e-mail
into the regarding box at

http://www.schoechi.de/mailing.html

and please also send me a short personal mail.

yours,
Martin Schöch, Eisenach

[HCDX] Zipped QIP files are now available for free

2004-01-23 Thread Martin Schoech

Zipped QIP files are now available for free

The QSL Information Pages at

http://www.schoechi.de/qip.html

present BC-DX QSL more than 38900 logs from logs from more than 8290
radio stations coming from 240 different radio countries. The QSL have
been received from 1980 until today, but the majority between 1995 and
today.

The html files are at the above mentioned homepage. Since Jan 2003 QIP
also offered several zip-files containing all the HTML-files for each
region. And we had MS Excel files, containing all logs, for each
region. These files were offered only to subscribers.

The 'old' zipped HTML and Excel of Dec 2003 files are now available for
free for all readers. New, updated versions of these files are still
only available for a subscription of 6 USD/5 EUR for 2 years.

Subscribers also have access to the packages of flags and maps that are
used on the QIP HTML pages. They also have access to the files with the
latest new updates and for the QSL Logs before 1980.

More details about the subscription options and the link to the
download page can be found at the Subscription - page (which is linked
several times from the QIP start page).

[HCDX] 9 remarks from the SRS Drop Box in Eisenach

2003-12-26 Thread Martin Schoech

Since a lot of you use Christmas for (euro)-pirate radio
listening I want to resend a few remarks about sending
reception reports to the SRS Germany P.O.Box in Eisenach.
Many of the following points are valid for other boxes, too ..

yours
Martin

--- Forwarded message follows ---

9 remarks from the SRS Drop Box in Eisenach

All reception reports to Pirate Stations are very
welcome, but some reports make it quite difficult
for me as the drop box operator.

Thus the following remarks seem to be necessary :

1 Please include 'SRS Germany' in the first or
second line of the address if you want to send
a report to the Eisenach Drop-box !

2 If you do not know how to use the c/o please
do not use it !

SRS Germany
c/o Station ABC
is nonsense !

The correct way for the P:O. Box would be
SRS Germany
- Station ABC -
Postfach 101145
99801 Eisenach
Germany

3 Do not use abbreviations, use the station name.
E.R. can mean Enjoy Radio or Eldorado Radio,
thus I have to open the letter ..

4 If you are not sure about what you heard do
send the report to me personally (or ask at
first via E-mail) or wait for the next log list
and try to find out the station name.

5 Do not send unused stamps unless you are
sure you use the correct currency. I keep
getting reports for Dutch stations with German
stamps as return postage. An address in
Germany does not necessarily mean that its
a German station.

Remark for all those outside the Euro-zone :
A common currency in the region does NOT
mean that stamps can be used in different
Euro countries, too !

6 Remember to enclose return postage.
Several listeners do not include return postage.
Several other listeners include only simply
return postage.
The normal value (in Europe) is 2 times the
postage value for a simple letter (means 2
normal stamps) or 1 USD (Now at the
moment that the USD is falling down this
relation is not valid ..). Do not send IRC's for
reports inside Europe, that is wasting money.

For reports from outside IRC's are a good
thing, old and new IRC's are valid in Germany
as well as in the Netherlands (even if they
sometimes tell something different)

7 Try to avoid sending Euro-Coins as return
postage. Since letters undergo a 'treatment'
in large 'sorting factories' build by the post
these letters that contain sharp things are
often destroyed since letter run between
several rolls that are pressed together .. If
you enclose coins secure them with
tape to a sheet of strong paper.

8 Please include good details in your reports.
I see many reports that consist of details like
'music announcer address'.
If I were the radio station I would not issue a
qsl for these reports.

9 If you do not get an answer from a certain
station please inform me via E- mail. Stations
that do not answer listers letter are not
allowed to use the drop box in Eisenach.

yours
Martin from Eisenach

[HCDX] QSL Information Pages with a new layout

2003-01-06 Thread Martin Schoech

QSL Information Pages with a new layout

As announced earlier the QSL Information Pages start to shift to a
new layout which should give a much better overview for the readers.

QIP presents more than 31500 QSL logs from 6968 broadcast radio
stations coming from 229 radio countries.

The address is http://www.schoechi.de/qip.html

At the moment the coming layout of QIP can only be seen on the
pages of Algeria, Angola, Ascension Benin. But all other pages will
follow ..

As you can guess these tables were created using a database.

The QIP homepage tells you more about the ordering conditions for
that database (short version : subscription is 2 USD per year, regular
contributors to QIP can get it for free).

This database is offered in addition to the html-pages, but it will get
more updates than these pages since its easier to update the Excel-
file than the html-pages.

Thank you to all contributors in 2002 and all the best for 2003 !
