Australia, 4910, ABC, Tennant Creek, 0942-1005 Noted a program of English language comments and features. They are on late this morning (here)/night (there). The latest schedule in EIBI says 8:30 UTC is the end of sked. Still on the air after 1003 with a program of music.Signal was poor however. (Chuck Bolland, May 15, 2008) Suriname, 4990, Radio Apintie, 0950-1005 Noted a female in Dutch language comments. While a male announcer joins in. Music heard after the 1000, but signal is starting to disappear by then. The noise is terrible making details improbable to copy. Signal was weak and covered with noise. (Chuck Bolland, May 15, 2008) Note: Checked 4805 KHz between 1000 to 1010 an heard only Brazilian station working there. Bolivia, 4796.32, Radio Mallku, 1018-1025 Noted a female in Spanish language comments. Signal was fading in and out at a threshold level. With terrible noise all over the band this morning, it was difficult to hear anything. (Chuck Bolland, May 12, 2008) Peru, 5039.18, Radio Libertad, 1035-1045 Tuned into the signal at 1035 and noted music for a minute then Spanish comments by a person. The signal was audible only for a few minutes more, then it dropped into the mud. (Chuck Bolland, May 12, 2008) China, 9880, China Radio International, 1045-1058, Noted a male and female in Mandarin Language comments here. Can hear a second signal under CRI consisting of just music which could possibly be someone's Interval Signal. It goes off at 1048 while CRI continues in comments. At 1056 the station stops for their usual 4 minutes of silence before they go into the next hour. Signal was fair. Nothing came of the earlier music under CRI. (Chuck Bolland, May 12, 2008) Side Bar With all of the noise this morning, the lower bands, 3 - 4 MHz, were almost nil heard. It sounded like a thousand lightening crashes were going off all at once around the area. The atmosphere over the peninsula of Florida, is very humid today. We are promised a dryer atmosphere starting tomorrow as a cool front with dry air behind it, makes its' way down the peninsula. I am anxious to see if this has any effect on conditions - whether or not they improve or even quieter? http://www.orchidcitysoftware.com/IMAGE59.HTML EIBI DATABASE http://www.orchidcitysoftware.com/IMAGE22.HTML NRD345 Info ---[Start Commercial]- Order your WRTH 2008: http://www.hard-core-dx.com/redirect2.php?id=wrth2008 ---[End Commercial]--- Hard-Core-DX mailing list Hard-Core-DX@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/hard-core-dx http://www.hard-core-dx.com/ ___ THE INFORMATION IN THIS ARTICLE IS FREE. Bolivia, 5996.30E, Radio Loyola, 1015-1030 With a male in Steady Spanish comments. At 1019, a female commences with comments. I am hearing place names such as Peru, and Lima and I am wondering what is the significance of this because the program seems to be a news program with on site commentary? Signal degrades from a fair to poor at 1030. (Chuck Bolland, February 27, 2008) Indonesia, 4605.50E, RRI Serui, 1035-1045 Noted two males in Indonesian Language comments. Occasionally someone calls in on the telephone to be interviewed and to comment. No music heard during the period. Signal was fair. (Chuck Bolland, February 27, 2008) Indonesia, 4750, RRI Makassar, 1045-1100 Initially heard a male in Indonesian Language comments. Judging from the tone and nuances of the comments, the male is presenting an informational discourse, possibly political. Music presented at 1058. At 1100 ID given by male. Signal was good except for the CODAR interference, which at this point in my DX experiences, is being blanked out by my brain. A Cerebral noise blanker. Peru, 4774.99, Radio Tarma, 1048-1100 In here with Huaynos music. Between selections, a male in Spanish comments. Signal was poor. (Chuck Bolland, December 12, 2007) Peru, 5039.13, Radio Libertad, 1105-1115, In here with just Huaynos music. Male in Spanish comments using the echo effect, I thought that had gone out in the nineties, then back to music. CODAR isn't this high on the band and even weak signals are easier to listen to without it. Radio Libertad was poor. Peru, 4955, Radio Cultural Amauta, 1050-1105 Just tuning around and stopped on a carrier here. As the signal improved slightly, my attention was drawn to the music which turned out to be typical Huaynos. Other music follows. At 1100 a period of news and ID. Signal was poor. Bolivia, 6105.56, Radio Panamericana, 1003-1030 Noted a male in religious comments in the Spanish Language. At 1008 music briefly then canned promo. This is followed by music. At 1015, ..a hora en Panamericana, seis ... by a male, then back to music. Signal is poor to fair. Typically, this freq is silent as far as Panamericana is concerned. Judging from the ease that today's logging can be heard, they must broadcast only periodically and other times are off the air. Just an asumption. (Chuck Bolland, November 21, 2007) Bolivia, 6134.83, Radio Santa Cruz, 1022-1030 At tune in, noted local music segment. At 1024, live TC by male, comments. Signal was good.
