[HCDX] Aventure FM

2008-08-24 Thread aurel chiochiu
Warm greetings to all of you !

I'm looking for Aventure FM airchecks...

How I came to know this station... Back in the late 80s, the quality of
Romanian radio was full-clock jammed with awful propaganda such as the
strenghts of the socialist progress when you could barely sleep at night,
during the winter, because the heat was turned off in order to grasp money for
the Ceausescu's travels around the world. My family just couldn't stand it.

They came accross a guy who had his brother maried with a French woman in
Paris. They had recorded a tape for us on 105.9 MHz Aventure FM which was a
wondeful station. While very young I wasn't so hooked on French culture and
music, it was always special to get threated to the highly rhythmic pattern of
that French FM operation.

What hooked me to Aventure FM was our immigration to Canada, back in 1997. We
took Air France and stayed for one night in Paris. Everything was gorgeous: the
food, the streets, the radio inside the hotel, etc. !

When I came first to Canada I awaited a connection to Internet to enjoy
Romanian (which I missed) as well as French radio (to which my heart was open
up by our 1-night stay in Paris)... After a few months, we had Internet and I
must say I was quite impressed by the refreshing set of music stations such as
RTL 2, Fun Radio and Europe 2 were playing.

But this was ALMOST superficial when compared to Aventure FM. My mom knew I was
hooked on French radio and decided to sent me a few tapes included that special
Aventure FM tape to Canada (I didn't had it when I first came in)...

EVERYTHING WAS GORGEOUS ! The music played which ranged from californian
soft-rock to melodic punk-rock while passing through the French variety, Dance
Music and World Beat territories... The jocks intead of waiting for the song to
finishing were talking back-to-back with the music popping in and out every few
seconds at a time during the last 30 minutes of the last song played. This is
called TALKOVER ! But wait for the jingles: highly harmonic industrial driven
harmonies that were complex, yet quite catchy with each second a new musical
tone blending over the last musical tone like NO OTHER JINGLE I'VE EVER EVEN
HEARD OF... Unfortunatly, I do not still have even 1 Aventure FM jingle because
of this damned vaccine that made me hyperactive in order to delete the whole
tape. But let's just get back to Aventure FM: they featured very serious
subjects that were discussed in a quick, effective and dynamic way such as
acomoclitism, anthropology and...HORROR MOVIES... I don't know of any other
station that featured such an emotional-driven acomoclitism feature in the 80s
when acomoclitism was very tabou.

What to say more about Aventure FM ?? It's the station that has turn my
life into the nightmare when I accidently deleted that tape back in January of
1999 !

I did a lot of things. I wrote to the SIRPA (Service de l'Information et des
Relations Publiques de l'Armée de terre) and someone answered thay didn't had
any sound bites of Aventure FM anymore. I wrote too to the INA (Institut
National de l'Audiovisuel) and I didn't received any answer, positive or
negative.

Among the postive things, back in december of 2000, on the RadioActu
messageboard, someone called Thierry contacted me in order to talk about his
airchecks collection, but my damned father ended up the Internet on that day
for a few months and when I got back to RadioActu a couple of months later,
Thierry was gone... Thierry is my only REAL hope, but I do have at least
SEMI-FALSE hopes for the crew on Hard-Core DX and for the rest of us regarding
Aventure FM !!! If any of you is having any airchecks, please let me know. I
can give half my DX recordings collection or anything else to receive even 10
to 20 minutes of an Aventure FM aircheck !!!

I badly miss this station and I don't have nothing from it to live on (oh yeah,
a friendly Belgian guy gave me a poster L'AVENTURE JUSQU'AU BOUT DES ONDES -
maybe I should walk along the Montreal streets and ask anyone if they have
family in France with airchecks out of Aventure FM) !

Please if you heard AVENTURE FM back in 1988 when they were well or alive, or
even back in 1989 before the switch to maXXimum (RTL2 nowadays, although
MaXXimum took the Aventure FM's spot on the dial at 95.7 in Lyon, 90.5 in
Reims, 105.8 in Grenoble and 105.9 in Paris) via sporadic-E layer skip or
tropospheric ducting, please, be kind to tell me how could I taste that DX
aircheck of the best station the Earth ever saw !

May the good DX be with you !

Btw.: Last night, I heard RCR-750 with promos and at least two R-C-R mentions
with a fair to weak signal SIO 221, not that bad though. With more and more
IBOC hash going on, the next step would be to try to find a good LONGWAVE
radio, because MW TAs would gonna be hard to find. With LW so quiet (in terms
of IBOC hash) and MW so jammed by

Happy New Year to everyone among you !!!

I know I may seem a tiny bit too strong on the passionate side of the things,
but I wonder if any of you ever heard of AVENTURE FM, maybe during a trip to
Paris circa 1987-1988-1989...

They were one of the first French radio stations to broadcast features about
acomoclitism, back in the late 80s.

They were also featuring a highly eclectic, badly astonishing and unpredictable
musical mix, consisting of ETIENNE AUBERGER, ETIENNE ADAHO, JOHNY CLEG, MORY
KANTE, BANANARAMA, ART OF NOISE, TRANSVISION VAMP, BOY GEORGE, LIANE FOLY,
CAROLINE LEGRAND and a whole lot more...

The jingle package was hugely astonishing: industrial, yet highly melodic
jingles with a bunch of enjoyable musical notes every second. Over that
instrumental jingles, a guy was saying écoute sur écoute sur Aventure FM.

If anyone is having any airchecks of these guys, please feel free to e-mail me
at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Even if you picked up Aventure FM via e-skip during the summers of 1988 or 1989
(it is saddenly missed since the 23rd of October of 1989), and the e-skip tapes
has a bunch of fadings or is simply short (just a jingle), feel free to contact
me. I'm giving you all my DX conditions Radio Coro 780 Venezuela airchecks
(many of them are unscoped) if I receive just a couple of dozens of minutes
from the best station the Earth ever saw, Av-av-av-av-av-aventure

May the good DX be with all of you !
May all your wishes turn into truth during the upcoming year of 2008 !

Btw. I: If you are having any AVENTURE FM recordings, please feel free to
contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] I'm crazy in love with that awesome French
radio station.
Btw. II: It used to broadcast in Paris on 105.9 MHz VHF FM Stereo, Lyon 95.7
MHz VHF FM Stereo, Chambéry 91 MHz VHF FM Stereo, Grenoble 96.9 MHz VHF FM
Stereo, Reims 90.5 MHz VHF FM Stereo and 2 or 3 more QRGs ! That being said, it
was far from being a local outlet, outlet it didn't really broadcast
nationwide, let's say Aventure FM was seminationwide

Anyone having any Aventure FM tapes ???

Aventure FM broadcasted from Paris, Lyon, Chambery, Grenoble and Reims roughly
between 1987 and 1989 !!!

Paris 105.9 MHz
Lyon 95.7 MHz
Chambéry 91 MHz
Grenoble 96.9 MHz
Reims 90.5 MHz

It only lasted about two years in Paris and just a few months in 1988-'89 as
far as the other cities are concerned.

If anyone has any airchecks, station jingles, some DJ chatter, etc. please feel
free to change them.. I have many good signals peaks airchecks of Radio Coro
780 kHZ, 3800 km between Venezuela and Montreal and I exchange them for any
AVENTURE FM aircheck, the station of the SIRPA, Scouts de France, Bayard Presse
and La Guilde Européenne du Raid

May the good DX be with you !

2006-04-22 Thread aurel chiochiu
Hello !

Still regarding DXing since this station was heard in Sweden via e-skip and,
also, many DXers are also airchecks collectionners:

Since my early childhood, I was swinging in shortwave radio and music. One of
my sources for music were tapes recorded over vinyls that well-placed Romanians
which could travel to other countries bringed back.

My first contact with French was a tape made from Aventure FM 105.9 in Paris. I
was really hypnotized by the rich musical variety, the talents of the
disc-jockey and the Aventure FM Cent Cinq Neuf jingle. I rediscovered with
joy the tape a few months after coming to Canada, but in late 1998/early 1999 I
made the big mistake of deleting it.

I must say Aventure FM had a magic with no other station ever had for me,
altough some venezuelan and romanian (especially former Bucharest pirates of
the mid-to-late 90's) aren't that far, but still way off the emotion I had,
have and will always have for Aventure FM.

If anyone ever heard this station via e-skip or is living in France and
listened to it or even have friends or family who did, I would appreciate more
than anything.

Please contact me off-list in the case you are able to help and I would gladly
exchange any tape I have.

May good DX be with you !
