** CHINA. CNR1 jammer survey, June 10 from 1327 as I am up earlier
than usual. There is only one signal heard u.o.s., mostly presumably
against Sound of Hope inaudible here. 15340 S8/9+10. No sign of
scheduled Romania. I put that on the backup PL-880 to make //
comparisons onward, u.o.s.

1328, 15165 also with victim making fast SAH, S8-S9, vs VOA Thailand
this hour only

** KOREA SOUTH. 15575, June 10 at 1324, KBS World Radio so-called NAm
service in English is nearing its solsticial peak, a hefty S4-S7 into
deep North America, about COVID-19, vax stats in ROK; 1351 in a
travelogue about hiking around Jeju Island at sunrise; now it`s S7-S9;
1400 into Korean hour. Most of the year this emission is a JBA carrier
or less, because it`s far too high a band for a mostly-dark
high-latutude path, but which is now getting max insolation (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2090)

** SPAIN. 17855, June 10 after 2200, REE to NAm is holding up well;
Thursday is a day skipping English, but what`s on in Spanish? `Amigos
de la Onda Corta`, with the familiar voice of Antonio Buitrago, who
got a promotion to run the station. I missed the first few minutes,
but this edition is an interview about ``derecho de acceso`` at RTVE
itself. It seems this is an issue about various groups getting airtime
at the domestic public broadcaster; and there is now a bureaucratic
procedure for making their case via a form on the website.

With `shortwave` in its name, this has been classified as a `DX`
program, and the outro does mention DX among other topix, but as much
as I have been familiar with it, axual DXing and SW have seldom been
covered, rather media in the broadest sense. There is a huge archive
of podcasts like all their other programs, 371 of these here with
titles for each, not about SW or DX in the first two pages inspected:
https://www.rtve.es/alacarta/audios/amigos-de-la-onda-corta/
Most of them are a little too long to fit into 30-minute slots.

The page header shows airtimes, but altho in UT are obviously keyed
for winter time, now one UT hour earlier than: ``Amigos de la onda
corta --- Jueves a las 17.00 y 23.00 horas, viernes a las 02.00 horas
y sábados a las 13.00 horas UTC``

I do notice that none of them including this one are to be found in
the WWDXC A21 schedule of SWL/Media Programs in English, German,
Spanish,

(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** UGANDA [non]. 15170, Thu June 10 after 1500, NO signal from the
strange unID target broadcast seemingly via Romania; it was scheduled
in HFCC to skip Wednesday, which it did, but to resume Thursday.
What`s next on Friday+? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2090)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2089 monitoring: confirmed UT Thu
June 10 at 0130 on WRMI 50100, S9/+10 into Bonaire SDR. As usually
happens, the preacher preceding is too long, gets cut off for ID at
0129.5 before he can give his contact info, tsk.

Our non-commercial broadcasts and website depend on voluntary support:
thanks this week to Dan Gerrelfinger, Cincinnati OH, for a
donation ``as a thank you and to keep things going`` to
Glenn Hauser, Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 USA; and comments:

``Dear Glenn, I wanted to thank you for your program and all the
hard work to pass along DX information to us. I know that you
have been doing it for years and years. It is a nice public service
and is really informative.`` And recommends FM DX-fishing in the car
from a large parking lot, where he heard an OKC station, KYIS 98.9.
