TURKEY 9880 kHz (ex9875 kHz) Correction to my earlier report. The dates
should read May 2 & 3 and not April 2 & 3. 9880 kHz VOT May 3 on this pos-
sible new frequency maybe ex 9875 kHz to avoid Pyongyang D.P.R Korea co-
channel. Observed at 2030 UT s/on in English until s/off 2130 UT. Noted
its absence on 9875 kHz May 2 so it may have moved to 9880 kHz then. Not
sure if a permanent frequencychange or another switching error at Emirler?
(Craig Tyson, Perth-WeAUS, hcdx May 3)

Noted from the website EI7GL Diary: There will be HAARP experiments on May 8-10
UTC. Probable times are 2000-0200 UTC and probable frequency is around 3.25 mhz
although all this is subject to change. Frequency can range between 2.8 and 10
mhz. These experiments are to help identify ways to improve collision detection
on satellites. Reception reports are appreciated. Consult the HAARP website for
the latest news. Bill Smith, Douglas, MA.

** U S A. 12160, Sat May 4 at 1700, `The Talking Machine Show` -
really mostly music, not talk! is the only WWCR program we make a
point of hearing, but this week there is continuous crosstalk of a
gospel huxter, TOMBS? well audible along with TTMS, not only on WWCR-2
but also on its stream which we always prefer. Something`s notright in
Nashville. Could be as simple as the TOMBS pot on the mixing console
not being completely down and no one notices - rather than
transmitter/antenna mixing. So back to Met Opera via KUCO with John
Adams` ``El Ni?o``, a modern take on the JC legend (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 5100 CW, May 4 at 0712, pips/beeps at the steady rate of
24 per minute; what and why and where? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
