Re: [HCDX] BBC News on 990
From Alaska, maybe it's more likely to hear one of the CBC stations in BC or in the NWT or the Yukon? CBC does carry BBC programming at times. They share a monarch, so why not newscasts as well. CBDB (AM) in Watson Lake, Yukon CBDW in Norman Wells, Northwest Territories CBF-16 in Clova, Quebec CBKN (AM) in Shalalth, British Columbia CBOF-1 in Maniwaki, Quebec CBQF in Carmacks, Yukon CBQJ in Ross River, Yukon CBW (AM) in Winnipeg, Manitoba CBY in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/990_AM Check the FCC AM Query for technical details, and the CBC website(s) for schedules, maybe this gives Paul clues as to which one he might have heard. Keep listening for local weather/news/commercials. 73 Eike Am 27.11.2016 um 05:57 schrieb Peter Ungerboeck: Check the 990 entries and pick your choice. ;-) http://www.hermanboel.eu/en-emwg-mw1.htm 73 Peter _ On Nov 26, 2016, at 8:58 PM, Paul B. Re: [HCDX] BBC News on 990
Not sure if it's still the case, but at one point CBC carried not only BBC, but the Worldradio network between 1-5 am or thereabouts.
