[DX] PNG-kauden avausta

2002-09-17 Thread Vesa Hienonen

Moi!

NBC 4890:n tullessa tänä iltana aloittaessaan kuin tykin suusta pisti
kokeilemaan alempiakin taajuuksia ja 1928 maissa kuuluikin New Ireland 3905
aloittaessaan ja myöhemmin välillä melko luettavastikin, mutta alkoi
kuitenkin hiipua 1950 alkaen. 2000 aloitteli RRI. 90 metrillä ei PNG-asemia
kuulunut, mutta toivo elää...

Tuntia aiemmin tuntuivat japsitkin olevan vedossa ainakin taajuuksilla
1134, 1242, 1278 ja 1413.

[HCDX] some info

2002-09-17 Thread izdx

My first EWE tests.
Hi, friends,
Friday the 13-th – is not a lucky day for installing new aerials? Anyway, I erected a
new one – EWE 12 m long and 5.3 m high directed to 75 deg. – just to try how it would
work. As I expected, it can’t solve everything, but it’s a new step. Europe is nulled
quite impressively – the closer to the back center the better. I didn’t measure the
resistance - I took 10 kOm pot. The transformation unit is wired on the ferrite ring –
18 to 6 turns. The coax is 75 Ohm ‘cause I can’t buy 50 Ohm cable here. To make
things easier to me (anyway, it’s just a test aerial), I stretched the ground wires
into the house (2 m additionally) – so, I had the pot near my hand. The ground is very
poor at my site, and I didn’t apply too much efforts to do a really good grounding.
One pole is one foot from the wall of my home. Despite all obvious misdoings, I’m
quite impressed by the MW performance, and I’m going to improve this antenna as soon
as possible. I suppose to install 3 or even 4 EWE’s to null most of the undesired
directions at the time needed, plus better earth, etc. X-periments will follow.
I’ve got here a very serious problem – Radio Resonance from Lesnoy. It’s 6 km eastward
from me, 500 kWt on 1017 13.00 – 17.00 ex. Sunday. When it’s in the air, I can use 120
cm loop only – even a long wire is impossible. What to say about the EWE directed
exactly toward the poisonous source. Sony ICF SW 77 is not the best (not so bad) for
the MW DXing – switching to the “big” wires causes overloading, even on the MW,
sometimes. At least, near the strongest stations, I observe the images on minus 9 kHz.

That’s what I could hear on the night 13/14 Sept. the overall propo to Europe was
poor, moderate to Asia, good to the Middle East.
17.43 1125 Syria, in Russian (it’s a new fq for RU px) 32432. // to the usual 783
(5).
20.10 1359 CPBS-1 under Mayak. 31431.
21.21 2850 Pyongyang. 44434.
21.23 3250 KCBC 33323. // to 3560 – 32322.
22.14 1584 SER network. 33423. while nulling - Iran 4.
22.16 1422 DLF 4. while nulled Iran 3.
23.30 1593 Xinjiang in Kyrgyz. 23322.
23.47 1494 Xinjiang in Chinese. at 23.48 ID. 34434. (Greece is nulled)
23.51 1413 Xinjiang in Uigur. 33433.
23.58 1233 Xinjiang RGD in Mongolian. 33323. faded too soon
00.23 1593 Uzbekistan. 23232. 00.30 is’s, ID.
00.25 1593 id’s of the AIR – Bhopal?. 12231. not // to 1566.
00.49 1152 Pakistan, 00.50 OM pray.
00.53 711 Uzbekistan. 32432. this fq is not shown in PAL. It’s active.
00.59 756 Pakistan ID’s, 01.00 OM nx in Urdu. 32322.
01.07 1476 Azerbaijan YL nx 44434.
01.17 234 Armenia, YL nx in Arm.35454. // to 1395 4.
01.19 162 Radio Bashkortostan, local nx in Russian 33443.

And, that’s what I heard on 15 Sept. Good to any direction.
15.45 1107 Radio 7 iz Samary, in Chuvash 4.
15.45 1242 VOV, VN 42322 – as usual, a lot of qrm: Oman, Japan, India, China, etc.
16.09 954 Qatar OM about the Muslim society in Arabic 44423.
16.11 981 CPBS-1 YL nx 32332. // 4800
16.14 990 AIR Jammu YL/OM tk, × 16.45 radio theater – it’s alocal px, I think. Maybe
not in Hindi, but similar lang. 33323.
16.16 1008 CBS Taiwan YL tk. ÷ 16.59 YL id in English: Welcome to the evening features
of the CBS (strange, it’s the night time there), 17.00 is’s. 34323.
16.26 1323 pile-up. CRI – × 16.30 YL id in English. I can only suppose that’s from
Tibeth , basically Urdu px. CRI never gives ID’s in English while broadcasting in
Russian. 21331.
A local CHN station – I just recognized Guandbo Dientay .1-2.
AIR – maybe Calcutta with Vivid Bharati, × 16.30 id as AIR. 1 – 2.
16.37 1557 Family radio, Taiwan relay. In Russian! 43443. so, they started to use this
tx’er for the RU px’s, also.
16.44 918 AIR Suranagartha OM national song. 43433.
16.45 927 Pakistan in Urdu 33433.
17.01 999 a couple of different CHN stations – hard to determine.
17.05 1575 Iran – OM tk, a very serious man, indeed 1584, 1503 (Radio Tsentr from
Moscow 80% nulled), 1485, 1431, 1422, 1008, 999, 990, 981…

16 of September – interesting propo from Asia.
1566/ 1557 HLAZ/ WYFR observed respectively with great signals – sometimes S 5+.
1593 a strange and unknown situation, anyway, to me. At 19.01 unid CHN. At 19.52 YL tk
+ laughing ment. Taipei, Shanghai, and miyao-miyo (a tribe?) – this station had been
observed until 21.40 under CNR 1 2 (they started at 20.00 – at least, I heard 1-st
pr. ID’s). mayve another (# 4 ) Chinese station sometimes appeared in a dialect. But
the first one that I mention, it was ???zhi sheng (Voice of ???) – probably Of Strait
(Haixia), so that’s why such places and names heard (Fujian, also). but, at 21.30
“Taipei kindza…AM”, followed by solid bass bells. What I can see from the PAL doesn’t
coincide with what I did hear. Of course, I don’t understand Chinese (except the most
common phrases,ID’s and numerals)…
21.41 1395 Ekho Moskvy from Novosibirsk. 3. // to FM in Moscow, slight delay.
22.08 1530 VOA Sao Tome OM VOA News now 43423.
