Can't attest to how good it is, but you might want to check out this site: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page Parts of it don't seem to have been updated lately, but there ARE hardware compatibility lists. Here's what I will tell you: You will have better luck using a 915G or 945G motherboard as compared to anything else (period). I think this is because it's much like the mac. And, the performance is fairly good. In fact, I'd say the performance with a 2.93 Celly is better then the MiniMac, which will run you about 5 times the cost in hardware. As the client needs us to deploy the OS/X elsewhere (dumb decision, they bought a 10 pack from CDW because they thought they would need them with the Macs they bought.. which of course, already came with OS - duh) then I'll move them elsewhere. :) -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:hardware- [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Scott Sipe Sent: Sunday, August 20, 2006 2:00 PM To: The Hardware List Subject: [H] OSX on Intel Not asking for instructions or the like, but out of curiosity, has anyone here had any experience running OSX recent releases on generic hardware (AMD or intel?) I legitimately, legally own 10 copies of OS/X, for two of my clients. And yes, using online FAQs I have modified a copy to install on Generic hardware. It's all about the Almighty Dollar and nickel and diming the customer to death.. They won't allow me to transfer pix to my phone through Bluetooth as they want me to use their service and charge me a quarter a pop.. Bill

Why do they lock out features in the first place? Greg Sevart wrote: The Verizon model will come crippled - no bluetooth DUN or file transfer. If you don't care about those sort of things then it will be fine. These can be re-enabled if they're deal-breakers, if you're a bit enterprising. Re-enabling DUN over BT on my Verizon E815 was as simple as typing in a few characters...and there's loads of people that have enabled file transfer. Greg

My question ( and the guy at the store was a moron ) can one get a headset for this that is NOT blue tooth ? and or are the $20 bluetooth sets any good compared to the $60 store ones ? wired is OK with me.
