Ditto for monoprice -- really had good luck with cables from there,
and unbeatable prices. I like the cables that have the kind of
metallic mesh as well, as it protects the cables from dangerous cats
and dogs :p

Well, no. Not certain of the cost, but he was shocked at the price!

For HDMI cables (or almost any other cable), go to www.monoprice.com

I am willing to bet he paid close to $100 for a $7 HDMI cable.

The movie probably doesn't even do high def justice, given it's age ;)

Agreed. HDMI is digital, it works or it doesn't.

Re: [H] Memory issues

2008-08-28 Thread Rick Glazier

I have to agree. They treated me well on the single return I had to
make. I did not even buy through their memory configuator on the WEB
but got what "seemed to be" the same exact model number from Best Buys.
NOTE: They add extra numbers (a suffix) to "hone-in" more exactly to your
"exact system" when purchasing direct... (These numbers are generally
"hidden" until you see them in person on the physical ram stick label...)

I've had Crucial Ram go bad, but it's quite rare. The few times I've
called them to have them honor their warranty they have apologized to me
for the ram being bad and sent out a replacement immediately with return
shipping label.

That would be very surprising. I have never heard of a documented proven case
of Crucial RAM going bad. I'm not saying it can't happen, but Crucial RAM
would be the last thing I would suspect right under a PCP&C PS...and they
never break either.

Before I went there, I would be suspecting and eliminating motherboard,
drives, and cards.

Excellent service, I don't buy ram anywhere else.
