Re: [H] BluRay USB interface?
Ditto for monoprice -- really had good luck with cables from there, and unbeatable prices. I like the cables that have the kind of metallic mesh as well, as it protects the cables from dangerous cats and dogs :p Scott On Aug 28, 2008, at 6:06 PM, Rick Glazier wrote: I get the HDMI (cheap) cables with the ferrite core/chokes on them. A flash drive input to play music, (small) movies, etc.? (Just a hunch...) Rick Glazier - Original Message - From: "DHSinclair" He reports that his BluRay player has what looks like a USB interface. What is this connection for? I suggested that it may be a port for a game console. Or, perhaps communication to a media PC?
[H] BluRay USB interface?
My older Brother deferred from buying an AV rcvr and instead bought a Sony BluRay DVD player for his new HDTV. Yes, he is very jazzed with his new toys. He tested the new screen last night with the movie Top Gun. I'm told the Eyes have it :) Today he dropped major coin on an HDMI cable. Rationale was 1 replaces 5; and is mo-betta! No comment from me. He reports that his BluRay player has what looks like a USB interface. What is this connection for? I suggested that it may be a port for a game console. Or, perhaps communication to a media PC? It is a bummer when technology gets away from you LOL Best, Duncan
Re: [H] Memory issues
I have to agree. They treated me well on the single return I had to make. I did not even buy through their memory configuator on the WEB but got what "seemed to be" the same exact model number from Best Buys. NOTE: They add extra numbers (a suffix) to "hone-in" more exactly to your "exact system" when purchasing direct... (These numbers are generally "hidden" until you see them in person on the physical ram stick label...) Rick Glazier From: "Christopher Fisk" I've had Crucial Ram go bad, but it's quite rare. The few times I've called them to have them honor their warranty they have apologized to me for the ram being bad and sent out a replacement immediately with return shipping label.
