Re: [H] New mobo woes no Newegg love
Oh, forgot I was going to post a pic taken with the free microscope cam I bought with the token $25 refund I got from Newegg. So I basically made $25.00 on the deal in a sense because GTS covered full replacement cost. https://www.dropbox.com/s/87scp4nq6hl2ga0/Image4.png?dl=0 On the bright side I really like the Asus board even though it's the less expensive A model. That's a pretty bizarre problem. I don't know how 'the customer' could have bent back a few pins in the middle. I don't think the problem is the fact that Newegg doesn't inspect incoming (think of the number of each of thousands of products), but rather the idiot (probably a vice president) that made the decision to send the board back to you. But at least Intel cut their returns for bent pins to zero! As far as I can tell, that's the only justification for it, as technically it is more challenging and certainly more fragile. This whole situation rings similar to my last newegg business. I was told that I could not update my CC data due to 'invoices' even though my previous order 35 days previous was ordered, shipped, rcvd, and, paid for. Done. I was told all I could do was 'block' my account and just walk away; which I did, straight to amazon.comand provantage.com. I asked about Tiger-Direct.com in Miami, FL. The List said 'fugetaboutit'.I did. Josh, Sorry for the poor treatment by Newegg. A damn shame. I only ever had to return one intel CPU for bent pins, package was obviously damaged and they handled it ok. have not had the pleasure of MB bent pins,, other then one self inflicted and I just ate it. :'( At 09:49 AM 9/18/2014, Greg Sevart Poked the stick with: But at least Intel cut their returns for bent pins to zero!
