Standard "in OS" upgrade ended July 2016, Assistive Technologies upgrade
officially ended 31st Dec 2017 (but might still work?), clean install with
a Win7 or 8.1 key still works to my knowledge.

MS ended the free Windows 10 Pro upgrade I think in July of 2016, so 
a free upgrade would depend on whether or not the manufacturer 
offered itor at least that is my understanding.

That's what I'm wondering. Hate to get stuck with 8.1 but this PC is @ a 
nice price.
