Bug #1024 (oscillating re-camping), the story goes on...
Also if anyone observing #1024 wants to help and make some traces, please let us know. Tracing is not that complicated, all what is needed is a cable to connect the optional debug UART from the headset to a terminal and record the data. I connected the usart of my AVR (at90usbkey demo board) to the headset and configured it to 115200 8N1. I then did gpio J6=0 and powered up the gsm modem. I can receive data but it does not make any sense to me. Is it really binary data or are serial port parameters wrong? Great that you tried it this way ! 115200 8N1 is OK, however you should receive mainly ASCII data. When the modem powers up, it could be that you receive a few binary data from the bootloader, but after that its mainly ASCII. PCO2 is not needed to decode the default trace data, they are mainly ASCII. At least if nothing has been sent to the modem and one is only listening (115200 8N1). Only listening is OK to get a first impression if bug #1024 occurs, if more detailed trace data are needed, I first have to find out how to configure the traces without using PCO2. Should not be too difficult, however I have not done it yet (I would be happy with a few more #1024 traces of just the default data :-).
