I live in Norway and have never expericed any noise problems on my
GTA02v5. I wonder if the conditions here are different in any way.

I'm Norwegian and I have confirmed this terrible unbearable buzzing
noise in the 900Mhz band in Bergen, Norway. Where are you in Norway?.

Don't believe so, but this only comes on carriers in 1800MHz band FWIW
 and then comes and goes.

we can confirm, it does NOT only affect the 1800MHz band, but also the 900MHz.
meaning regardless which of the 4 german gsm-provider we use, we have more or
less noise issues with our OMs

I thought if the GTA03 wil be available within 3 months I'd go for that
version.

Ok, that means that if I want to take part in the openMOKO project soon,
it's best to go for the GTA02?

Is the noise issue resolved in the last GTA02 version?

Regards,

Joop Boonen.

5Q2009 is actually when we plan to release the Neo Lockdown, running
Proprietarix licensed from SCO(tm), SIM-locked to Iridium, and with
pay-per-use applications. Since we're all about freedom, you will be
able to change the battery as you like, but it will only release its
charge if its serial number matches the one etched into our
 custom-built phone-on-a-chip(r).

RD hasn't started yet, but we'll get to it as soon as we're done
 filing all those software patents.

Damn, Werner! The Iridium-SIMlock story is under heavy NDA :-(
Are you speculating with Boing shares?

Iridium, huh? I just knew *somebody* would buy up all those satellites,
and put them to some nefarious use!

Yeah, actually that's been Openmoko ;-)
But Boing isn't really interested in selling them, and the CIA is a tough
opponent on negotiations.
