RE: [ha-Safran]: Tu B'shvat books

2010-02-02 Thread library
Cathy,

I like the following books for elementary school children in
connection with Tu B'Shevat.

The last one is for 4th- and 5th-graders and is not specifically
about Tu B'Shevat but good for eliciting discussion about the value
of trees. I read it aloud to children who had already heard the
usual Tu B'Shevat stories.

Gold-Vukson, Marji Grandpa and Me on Tu B'Shevat
Zolkower, Edie Stolz It' s Tu B'Shevat
Biers-Ariel, Matt Solomon and the Trees
Levine, Arthur A.Pearl Moskowitz' s Last Stand

Regards,
Melinda Herman

[ha-Safran]: Tu B'shvat books

2010-02-01 Thread Cathy Ryne
Shalom Safranim:

Can you recommend any Tu B'shvat books for a Judaic elementary
school? The ones I have need to be retired.

Thank you so much!
