[ha-Safran] Yeshiva University's Seforim Sale
I have been asked to post following announcement on behalf of the students who run the annual Seforim Sale at Yeshiva University: Dear Safranim: The Yeshiva University Seforim Sale is just around the corner. The sale will be open February 2 - February 23. The sale is an amazing opportunity for libraries, as we have one of the largest selections of Jewish books. One can purchase Talmuds, Bibles, novels, cookbooks, etc. If you name it, it is likely we have it. In addition to the wide variety of books, the prices of our books are also some of the cheapest... particularly those published by Artscroll. For example, If one were to buy a set of Artscroll Gemaras from us, one would save hundreds of dollars. We are also aware that libraries may want to buy in bulk so we offer a generous discount for purchases over $1000. The sale has a website to enable libraries to purchase books without coming to New York. Every title is available online and the site is easy to use. www.theseforimsale.comhttp://www.theseforimsale.com One of the advantages of buying from Yeshiva University is that the profits will go towards student organizations. These organizations plan events for the students, bring in speakers, and host concerts, among many others exciting opportunities. In short, this sale seeks to better the student experience at Yeshiva University. [ha-Safran] Clarification: Seeking Digital Humanities Roundtable participants
I have gotten quite a few responses to this email, and it seems that I was not clear: The session will be a roundtable. This means that it will be an open (but guided) discussion of the topic at hand (roughly, digital humanities and the role of Judaica librarians). The session will be open for anyone interested to join and participate, and if there is enough interest, then we will break it into multiple groups. What I am looking for are digital humanities/Jewish Studies experts who are capable (and willing) to guide these discussions.
