[ha-Safran] Internship opportunity- Synagogue library

2022-08-22 Thread Susan Kusel via Hasafran
Searching for: an intern for a synagogue library at a large reform temple in
the Washington DC area. Prospective librarians welcome; interest in working
with Judaica books or becoming a Judaica librarian a plus. Duties include
assisting with circulation, basic cataloging, reference, purchasing,
bibliographies, physical space management, donation processing, adult and
children's services and teaching religious school and nursery school classes.
Specific duties will be taught if they are new skills to the intern. The intern
should indicate what their main interests are, so the internship can
incorporate those aspects of librarianship. The internship will be a
mentor/mentee relationship. Number of hours per week to be determined with
intern. Both semester and open-ended opportunities available. The librarian is
happy to work with library schools or other institutions if credit hours are
needed. If interested, please send an email, and resume to

[ha-Safran] KKL-JNF launches live birdwatching feeds at Lake Hula

2022-08-22 Thread Jacob Richman via Hasafran
KKL-JNF launches live birdwatching feeds at Lake Hula

Full article at: bit.ly/live-cameras-hula-lake

The Hula Valley is a major stopover for birds migrating between Africa,
Europe and Asia
through the Syrian-African Rift Valley.

Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) announced on Sunday
that it
has begun a birdwatching project for the benefit of nature lovers and
birdwatchers of all
experience levels. The project uses a network of eight HD cameras and
complex
electric infrastructure including fiber optics and wireless communications
systems
at Lake Hula in northern Israel's Hula Valley.

I added links to each of the 8 cameras at:
jr.co.il/links/#live-cameras-hula

Enjoy!

Have a good night,
Jacob
