[ha-Safran] Online, ALA-accredited MLIS programs in the U.S.

2023-08-01 Thread Amanda Seigel via Hasafran
Dear Safranim,

I am helping out a potential MLIS student and she is considering Syracuse.

Has anyone attended the online MLIS program at Syracuse recently, or know
someone who has? Or, do you have recommendations for a good and affordable
online MLIS program?

One colleague shared this helpful spreadsheet, "MLIS tuition & areas of
emphasis informational spreadsheet", that compares programs:
https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.reddit.com/r/librarians/comments/12s3csc/mlis_tuition_areas_of_emphasis_informational/__;!!KGKeukY!2ddecr8TFusMeOJ6TiAdtnr-XWYpkszvMMrhfVS5KKhr98Pbm961BQENdR9Kh_Jl44pRRYmz8EaTwulT7PBNP_n7Tw$

Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,

Amanda

[ha-Safran] The Jake Show on The Book of Life Podcast

2023-08-01 Thread Heidi Rabinowitz via Hasafran
Please welcome Josh Levy, the newest guest on The Book of Life. Josh is the
author of The Jake Show, a middle grade novel about a kid caught between
religious and secular divorced parents. Hilarity ensues! You can hear the
interview (or read the transcript) at
https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://jewishbooks.blogspot.com/2023/08/the-jake-show.html__;!!KGKeukY!1BWDtCvxTUckWQHtbcTKmMhVV2oGBHyZPoGrVk-IfjMoyapzWYAD23E9o0SLTKsc7CBJ6OunE5IJnLJdhxfGr0zUP05spXFoqSiiR0ELR_I$
 . FYI, next up
in September will be Richard Ho and Lynn Scurfield talking about their
picture book, Two New Years.

Word of mouth is the best way for the podcast to find new listeners, so
please share this or any episode with your friends!

Thanks so much!
Heidi
