Shalom, My name is Michael Kent and I am the curator of the Jacob M Lowy collection of Judaica at Library and Archives Canada (and a proud AJL member!). I have come across a Haggadah commemorating operation Exodus with the following dedication:
"This Haggadah for Passover 5750 (1990), dedicated to "Operation Exodus", the miracle of Soviet Jewish Aliyah, is presented to the Canadian Jewish Community by the United Jewish Appeal, the Combined Jewish Appeal, and the United Israel Appeal of Canada." I am curious to learn more about the story of this Haggadah, does anyone know anything about it? Was this a thank you gift to donors?
