[Histonet] Dako Artisan Elastic Van Gieson Stain. Lot reagent: 10125102

2017-09-19 Thread Preya Menna via Histonet
Dear all,

In Histology, we are experiencing staining issues with the Dako Artisan Elastic
Van Gieson Stain. Lot reagent: 10125102

The stained slides are patchy, uneven, with an excess of black/blue. Tissue
used: Liver fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin.

Does anyone else have issues with this batch of reagents?

Thanks

[Histonet] Running ISH on the Ventana Ultra Stainers

2017-09-19 Thread Miranda Giorgi via Histonet
Hello Histonetters,

Our lab is in the process of trying to validate Kappa, Lambda and EBER ISH on
the Ventana Ultra stainers. We have run these probes on the XT in the past
with good results, but unfortunately staining on the Ultras is either poor or
non-existent. We have tried several protocol modifications with very little
luck. Does anybody out there have experience validating these tests on the
Ultras? We would greatly appreciate any advice on getting these to work.

Thanks in advance!

[Histonet] University Core Support Facilities

2017-09-19 Thread Amy Porter via Histonet
To all:

I have been asked to perform a cost analysis and comparison of the rates we
charge for services to our researchers here on campus and outside the
university - I am looking for labs that would be will to share this
information for both in house and outside clients - a lab that does both
would be ideal. I would conduct these conversations off list once started
to prevent overload of the list and keep your information confidential if
needed. Thanks in advance - Amy
